McDermott to guard- finally

Starting OL today at practice:

Darling-McDermott-Gall-Brown-Isidora

Linder is banged up but should be fine for Saturday. Odogwu is running with the twos. It looks like they are trying to get our stoutest, most physical run-blockers on the field.

McDermott is playing catch-up (he spent all of camp at tackle) but he is finally at the right spot. Ideally, our line of the future looks something like this:

St. Louis-McDermott-Linder-Isidora-Darling

Ok, but how much of this is because Linder is banged up for practice and they needed to move gall over to center. Do you think once Linder is healthy McDermott will go back to back-up tackle?

If they kicked out Isadora to tackle even for practice....kehoe is even dumber than i thought...because isadora has been getting killed inside at guard with his sloppy footwork..he would be a complete mess outside.

I remember them putting washington at LT and he would get beat like a drum, the same will happen with isidora i fear, i have liked isidora this year he hasnt been great but he has looked good, but not great and not great enough to move to RT, at this point id put st louis in hes the future and its not like hes red shirted

No, Isidora is at tackle. He was actually our third tackle for much of camp ahead of McDermott.

I disagree. Gall is the worst of the five and has the least upside going forward.

McDermott struggles at tackle because he has short arms and isn't overly quick.

No, Isidora is at tackle. He was actually our third tackle for much of camp ahead of McDermott.

jesus christ...worst than i though. ^^^^

And im not even bias as i know the kid personally....but our tackle situation must be bad...because Isadora has consistently got beaten this year by dt's speed. Again DT's speed. He got done by walker tthat cost a strip sack that he recovered. He is NOT a legit tackle. tHE YOUNG GUYS MUST NOT BE READY...or they just like his experience.

That was my big concern offensively coming out of camp. Isidora has been disappointing. He should be better.

I'd like to see Gauthier make a move. He's already physical enough and he's no worse pass blocking than what we have now.

Isidora at tackle is going to be horrendous. His footwork is almost as bad as The Toddler's (Bain).
