Could McCord be Miami's version of Alson Smith? McCord is really turning into a pass rush specialist. If he continues to develop I can see him having a Aldon Smith type of career.

Can you just imagin next season when McCord and AQM both are 245-250 with more experience. WOW those two will make the CB's look like Deon Sanders lol.
 
I'm glad to know he'll continue to be featured in obvious passing situations on that blind side. In time, I think his role gets expanded a bit to give us more pressure on early downs too, or, if anything, maybe he can be the spell guy for Shayon, so he doesn't have to be dropping into coverage as much as he did on Saturday.

I think you got too trigger happy comparing him to Aldon Smith, but you are right on both AQM and McCord being a nightmare next year for opposing offenses. They are gonna be nasty on passing downs.
 
Realize kid was tied or led our team in sacks last year so he couldn't rs.

Kid is a terror off the edge...that line up with he aqm and chick over the tackle with luther rob is really beastly

And add in Chad Thomas... I see a lot of QBs on the ground in the near future.

And Demetrius Jackson might be the most gifted of all of them. Plus Mike Smith.

I think Demetrius Jackson has the most upside also. I believe by his red shirt sophmore year he will be totally unstoppable. The way this kid explodes off the line is almost unreal, once he adds strength, weight, and knowledge of the game he will be a beast. The DE position over the next 5 years is going to be fun to watch!!

Agree with this. He loos grown now instead of the 218 pound bean pole last year. Kid plays with some serious passion and is a missle off the edge. AQM and McCord are going to cause serious issues for QB's on 3rd and longs.

I said Aldon Smith last year at some point. Obviously the pro version of Smith is a long way away, but they are similar at the same stages.
 
the one thing ive always liked about Mccord is it looks like dude GENUINELY is happy to be a cane....which is crazy because he was a late recruiting get.

Everytime Mccord hits the field u can see it with him...he just wants to do something..whether its specials or his 3rd down specialist stuff....u gotta love it...i was jacked when he got his first hurry on Driskel....dude had so much passion.

Said it two years ago, Miami will field the best defense in the country next year.

We're pretty freaking loaded. We probably need an addition at the nose, but outside of that, the 2014 defense will be quite a sight to behold.

McCord and AQM off the edge allowing "Top10" Burns, Tracy, Crawford, Deon, and RSJ to wreak havoc in the secondary.

Let me not get ahead myself. We've got plenty of season left before I start talking about next year, but the future is VERY bright.
