Maybe the real answer is .......

I still think golden is our guy, but I'm genuinely concerned that he thought our offensive game plan was going to win on Monday. I'm also concerned he let coley continue running duke into 8 and 9 man boxes.

You have to joking right?

not at all, but if we come out with a soft *** offensive game plan for Nebraska i'm out on golden.. he's done well in recruiting, we're getting a lot of talent in and rebuilding the depth we need on defense. He did take temple from crap to respectable and as soon as he left they went right back to being crap.... but i can't behind playing "not to lose" anymore..

Don't particularly care but get the facts right. Temple just exploded Vandy 37-7 first game of season and is in the AAC now.

I think we should have thrown on first down but
- awful O-Line and Frosh QB is not the ideal

Average players reduces your flexibility

3 of the 5 on the line have started a ton of games. Lots of teams are doing way more with less. OL has underachieved for 5+ years

year after golden left 9-4.. the year after that 4-7 the year after that 2-10... the fact that they beat vandy doesn't mean they're respectable again.

So you're saying after Golden left they went to **** and the new Coach resurrected the program? Also, if we beat Vandy 37-7 in the opening game would you be pumped for the season? Strait questions, no motive.

It's called development. Talent used to get developed at Miami. If you get drafted you have talented. Being coached right or not is the difference between where u get drafted.

I remember Telemaque and Ray Ray were all ACC under Shannon. Picking off passes left and right. Telemaque especially was a straight dud under Golden, if he had left he would have gone 3rd or so. But some of you defended Golden all the way till Monday and dumped on the players. Yall just as culpable for Golden turning our team into William and Mary. Once they broke all those bad records in 2012...I was done. You don't do that at Miami and keep a job. ...and you did it twice and survived

The talent vs coaching debate was officially put to rest Monday night. Anyone still arguing it will never get it.

Based on what, other than him being white?

Coker was white, didn't want him to be our coach, i'm sure you think you have a point.

I do. You hated Randy Shannon from the get go yet you think a coach with the worst results since Carl Selmer is "our guy." Why don't you explain yourself?

Golden is historically bad at Miami. Him and Donofrio are entering their names next to all kind of shameful statistics in our record book. Anyone still defending Golden or holding out hope probably sent their bank account number to a Nlgerlan prince before. Blinded by binders and "the process" these individuals were swindled and still can't admit it to themselves.

And the "no talent" argument needs to be shoved up whoever says its ***. VT, UNC, and Duke would kill a hobo to have this roster.

He left , addaazio won 9 games and 4 games, ... Rhule came in and won 2, and now apparently has resurrected the program by beating vandy.

He was not only 2nd in command for much of the coker years, but then got the head job and still couldn't put out a top defense, and he's a defensive "guru". I at least have evidence that golden can build something, and he's been recruiting well here. Now if we continue to play not to lose in the big games, then I can no longer back him.

I think Temple would probably beat us right now.

You have evidence that Golden can win 9 games at Temple, and none of those wins came against legit opponents. That's it. Golden has been much worse at Miami than Shannon, and it's not all that close, either. The overwhelming evidence is that Golden is the worst coach at Miami since Carl Selmer and is one of the biggest losers in CFB. It's hilarious how you focus on Randy's D's while he was HC , but focus on Golden's accomplishments at Temple and not Miami. Golden's a defensive guy, yet has produced the worst defenses in Miami history, but you give him a pass for that. Randy's worst D at Miami was in 2007 and that was ranked like 45th or something, but hey, you're being fair when you criticize Randy for not being able to produce top D's as HC, but you give Golden a pass for producing the worst defenses this program has ever seen. LOL @ "if we continue to play not to lose." You're a piece of **** hypocrite.

Year 4. All the talent is his whether it's good or bad.

P.S. we just got blown out by a team full of players we didn't want. Again.

I do think some of our fans exaggerate and overrate the level of talent on the roster but there was certainly enough talent on the field last Monday night to beat Louisville -- with the o-line being the possible exception. We were out coached, plain and simple. And as others have noted, this is year 4 for Golden. If their is an issue with talent than that's on him.
