Maybe pump the brakes a bit until after Clemmy...

I am as pumped as anyone about our team this year, but I am still riding the brake pedal a bit until after Clemson. Win or lose, it will be the measuring stick we are looking for. We have beaten teams that have an overall 4-5 record and 3 of those wins are by UAB!!
Now, we have beat the brakes off them so that is a positive.
I think we can score quite a bit on Clemson, but can our D hold up and hold them to less than we score. Our LB'ers and Secondary better be up to the task because they will have their hands full.
Why not us, baby?????

These fūcking people are writing a primer on how to be miserable.

One sure way, is not to enjoy current success, but mope and cry and fear lack of future success. I guess that’s rule one of how to be a miserable fūck.

People starting threads telling people don’t enjoy what happened. After literally two days after the game.
**** off. Never said don't enjoy it. I said pump the brakes, we have beaten ****** teams so far and Clemson will tell us where we are at as a program.

Clemson will tell us something, but the Pitt game will tell us more.

We shouldn't be Clemson, we should beat Pitt - but they have a tough D and can hit chunk plays - and we will be coming off the big road game.

A very good (but not yet great) team loses to Clemson, and beats a ranked Pitt team.

You're telling ME to fūck off?

How about instead of “pumping the brakes”, like you’re telling everyone to do, you pump your swollen puššy and relieve the pressure.

You're exactly the kind of cunny that will be posting 5 minutes after a Clemson loss, I told you so, how you told everyone to “pump the brakes”

Hey Canemang, learn to read. Where did I tell anyone what to do in my comment? GTFOH. You do what you want.
Fvck do you think “pump the breaks” means? You’re telling people to not get to excited just yet, wait until the conclusion of the Clemson game. I said fvck you, I’ll be excited as I want regardless of what happens in the next couple weeks

I definitely agree Clemson is the measuring stick.. This team has to show up for 4 quarters win or lose, we need our boys playing at Max Level.. We will learn a lot from this game against Clemson, I really believe we will see a really fun explosive game.. I really believe Clemson is worried a little knowing our Canes are much improved.. Our boys definitely have to be locked in for this one, this should be a fun game to watch..

Let's roll the dice in two weeks and see what happens.

We have the tools on offense to beat them. Can the defense hold up? Can we generate pressure with our front 4?

That's what it's going to come down to. If we can rush 4 and generate pressure, it's going to be difficult for Clemsons' offense.

We start blitzing an LB or a CB, surfer dude will pick us apart.

Does that include the two games where we actually did beat them?
We have beaten them as a member of this conference so maybe you mean since Dabo has been there?
If you'd read a little further you'd see I had my dates off. I corrected it in post 18.

Yes, I forgot about 2010 and I had my ACC join/Orange Bowl end dates confused.

2020 Miami beats the breaks off 2017 Miami. We’ve had some glimpses of success recently but not actual dominance. The difference between this team and the 2017 team that won 10 games or the 2013 team that started 7-0 is that this team has beaten down everyone they’ve played so far. I understand it’s not murderer’s row but the other two teams I mentioned weren’t beating FBS teams in dominant fashion. They had a bunch of hard fought battles and come from behind wins against mediocre teams. Even the big win against Notre Dame in 2017 was largely due to the fact that they turned it over four times and we didn’t once. You can’t go 2-13 on 3rd down and say you dominated.

Does that mean Miami is “back”? Are we a national title contender? Probably not just yet but you have to start somewhere. I have more confidence in the current group than I had in any team under Shannon, Golden or Richt.
