mauigoa to the rescue

Bell with that push at the end was so f’in unnecessary. I couldn’t even enjoy the TD because I was cussing his *** out.

The way the refs were on our OL’s *** I thought that easily could’ve been a flag.
Didn’t see that until now. That could have been another costly mental mistake. Glad they didnt penalize us for that.

If you can see his name on the back of his jersey don’t touch him… it’s really not that hard. 😣

And certainly do not place your hands on the numbers on his back… what are we doing here???

I think Dawson putting in Beack's hands at the last drive was clutch. OM expected us to run and we diced. We could have gone right back to it on a miss, but we kept goin, so . good on dawson there.

Almost everytime they threw the ball in the 4th was a bad play call in my opinion.

It was weird with 6 minutes left, Dawson just abandons the run game (which is the point of hammering in the beginning) and puts the game in Becks hands.

On the contrary, I got to say Beck has ice in his veins, the was likely the reason we remained calm and brought the world together including the coaches on the bench.
He likely had told Dawson, just like the game before, what to do.

Don’t mind the throws in spots but not on theb3yd line when ole miss gave up. Not when we are pounding it early in the game and then doing a flea flicker. Not when we have the ball before half and Beck takes a sack. Not when we go malicat. Dawson called another bad game.

He was calling a great game for 2.5 quarters then for some reason decide to "open" it up.

3rd and 8, we've pricing that we can get 8 yards.
If we get 5-6, we're gonna go for it anyway, plus liking the clock.

Just think Dawson needs to sit down with someone regarding time management and learn that.

That was an odd play. Seemed like the ball was snapped a count early or no one had a clue what the call was.
Agreed. Looked pretty clearly like Brock snapped that before he was supposed to.

On TV I did notice Mario complaining to the officials about simulation of the snap by the Ole Miss defense after one of Cooper's false starts. That could explain the multiple false starts as well as the potentially early snap on this play (not to mention the snap by the UGA center on 4th down when UGA was clearly just trying to see if they could draw Ole Miss offsides). Also, it was never the actual DL shift that caused us to jump.

The snap simulation stuff NEVER gets called and Oregon does it a LOT so it could be an issue for the championship game if we play them. IU had 6 false starts in the game in Eugene.

That was the slowest stunt in football history. Not shocked he didn’t see it.
no it wasn't. the slowest one was our DT during the D'Onofrio era, a guy named Michael something that went around Hialeah and Miami Springs before turning upfield to attack the QB. need help

If that’s his worst game, then truly blessed. Dude was best OL on the field.
Notice I said he played pretty **** well. I mean he’s been lights out for a very long time. So yea when you struggle a tiny bit with twists and stunts, it’s worse than just mauling everyone who lines up across from you for 60 minutes.

Every C gap and outside run goes for 5+ yards (and will continue to) but Dawson just leaves it.

Dawson definitely saw something in the 4th quarter, they couldn’t check Marion and #14 was a liability in coverage for Ole Miss.

great awareness ... the agility and athleticism to get out there ... big time player make a big time play

The day he committed I was nervous af he was going to choose Tennessee. Him and Fletcher feel like our biggest commits who righted the ship; alongside Cam Ward.

Bain obviously was a battle with Bama, but I couldn’t see him turning down being coached by his brother.

He missed a few including the sack they blamed on Fletcher.
These are the kinds of comments that drive me nuts. Here's why:

How do you know that it was Maui's fault and not Fletcher's? Or the guard or the center?

Could you be correct? Yes, for sure. But you came right out and said that it was Maui's fault, not Fletcher. Do you sit in on the OL and RB meetings when they discuss pass protection and stunt/blitz pickups? I do not, therefore the only fair conclusion I can come to is that there was definitely a miscommunication and some combination of Mauigoa, Fletcher, Cooper, Brockermeyer and Beck (yes Beck) gets the blame for that sack. If you really are that certain it was Mauigoa's fault and not Fletcher's, please educate me. Without knowing the assignments and responsibilities, I cannot say who owns the fault on that miscue.

The REAL issue wasn't Fletcher or Cici. The ball was snapped a little early. They ran a stunt and Cici didn't see the looping LB which was his to take most of the time. He was double-teaming the DE with Cooper. Same happened with Beck's TD, Cici was a little late but did make it to the looper. The difference on that play, Ole Miss only rushed 3 and #51 went to sleep.
