The problem with this program is that everyone around it is a leach. Everyone is out for themselves, everyone wants their piece of the action. In turn the ones that suffer the most are the players.
The BOT wants to collect the money the program generates without investing in it
The Athletic Director is a yes man puppet that is scared to rock the boat so he accepts whatever mediocrity the schools instructs him to accept
The media want their access so they try to gloss over what is really going on in the program. They work with the Unathletic Department to censor and blatantly lie about the things going on with this program.
The Head Coach and his jersey buddies are all about themselves. They will lower the expectations of this program until they can achieve that goal. They will destroy the history, player camaraderie, they will attack the fans and the school, all in the name of self preservation.
Lastly you have one segment of the fan base that is all about golden and wants to see him succeed so bad they are willing to burn the whole program down to see it happen. Then there's another portion of the fan base that wants access to the program and brush off losses and praise golden just so they can be an insider and get invited to events.
I don't know that there's a single person involved in the athletic department that's actually looking out for the program and players that genuinely wants them to succeed
The whole University of Miami athletic department and culture is a dumpster fire
