Matt Rhule vs Manny Diaz

wrong.. the team he took over was in worse shape than us. players were leaving, players got out of their LOI's.....they were in disarray

That happened the year before Rhule got there.
2013, 11-2
2014, 11-2
2015, 10-3
Players transfer, 2016 class has a bunch of transfers, Admins step down.
Jim Grobe, who averaged 5 wins his last 5 years at Wake Forest made interim head coach.
2016, 7-6, lost to every team that finished the year with at least 5 wins. Beat 10 win Oklahoma State by 11 points
Matt Rhule hired in off season
2017, 1-11 which included losing to UTSA(6-5) and Liberty(6-5). Only team they beat was Kansas (who also finished 1-11).

Look at the staff Rhule put together compared to Manny. A majority have 15+ years of P5 or NFL experience.

Banda Patke and Rumph are all super green and below average recruiters. Stubs is trash and Butch Barry is awful. Field is supposed to be our ace and he hasn’t really landed anyone.

it’s no wonder we were so bad in 2019. Barring drastic changes to the whole staff I expect the same in 2020 cause Manny should have cut his teeth at Temple, not on the job at UM

Al Golden thought his career trajectory was going to be almost exactly like Rhule's. It was always going to be the dream of NFL interest from Philly or NY and to be the first name considered if there was a vacancy in Pedo State.

Instead he's getting checks for 25 cents and having to commute from Detroit to Jersey to see his family.

Wow. Took over what essentially was an Art Briles team and went 1-11?? Canes fans would have been flying planes and putting up Billboards...LOL
Change your avatar, it stinks like manure! Better yet instead of blow on the table replace it with actually manure since that’s all manny is. Lol let him snort that stinky bull **** up all day instead of trying spew it on us! Lol

Rhule is legit he maximizes talent he's not fit for college because u need elite talent to win and he will never out recruit OU and the blue bloods. Rhule is a Savage as a.pro HC u will see

I don't doubt it. Just an observation how a legit coach can have a rough 1st year.

I heard Kevin Spacey is Keyser Soze. Can anyone confirm?

Did Rhule fire his coordinator after his first year at Temple or Baylor? If no, then the reason for Rhule's poor first year record at these institutions was not coaching related. Hence the progressive improvement every other year.

On the other hand, Manny's poor first year record is coaching related. There is no guaranty that a new OC with a new scheme and the learning curve that comes with it will improve next year's record. See Taggart. We laughed at FSU. Who is laughing now?
