A UM source tells me resolution in rental car situation (involving Stacy Coley, Quan Muhammad, Jermaine Grace) is expected this weekend.

I'm hoping for no more than 1 or 2 games

so a kid accepting benefits ruins the "amateur" status of the game, not the coach making millions, not the TV deals worth hundreds of millions, but a kid accepting benefits

I hate this rule and anybody who supports it

I wish Richt used what he learned from Bobby in these situations

"don't you worry now, we gonna punish those boys the old-fashioned way. They gonna run some laps afta practice"

2-3 games and their fresh for when we need them and more importantly dont get injured in meaningless games.

Excellent points. Keep in mind though, it isnt the NCAA who came up with these "rules", but rather the member institutions that make up the NCAA.

Im not defending the the NCAA in any way, shape, or form, but when the schools get fired up over enforcement of this rule or that, they only have themselves to blame for not working to change the rules.

Its wholly disingeneuous for these kids to play and generate the revenues they do for very adult businesses, and then get their eligibility put into question because a car dealer gave them a "brother-in-law" discount on a car rental.

Utter garbage.

IMO expect the IPF announcement shortly after that.

Not sure about that. It's my understanding that all the funding the athletic department had for the IPF has now gone into the compliance departments investigation of the rental car situation.

My bet is that suspensions are announced Monday and IPF is announced Tues or Wed.

1 game should be plenty if they were forthright which I assume they were bc Young already got the boot for not coming clean!

lesson here. next time steal crab legs or punch a girl out in the middle of a bar.

Or rape her.

Or pass out in your car drunk at a stop light.

Or shoot up an apartment complex with a BB gun.

Or beat the **** out of your dog with a belt.

remember, we are still in probation, so that is an important factor to consider and why compliance may be hyper conservative

Broke, is that your thought at the end of the op regarding the length of the suspension, or was that Porter's guess?

You have student athletes committing actual crimes and the institutions they attend looking the other way...and we're wasting time on this bull****?
