These projections are dreamed up by some clown just to create chatter. Yes, one of the esteemed ESPN draft experts once fancied Brad Kaaya a potential first rounder. That's why Todd McShay should have no credibility. Never again.
Wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Jake Fromm as another Kaaya or just a game manager, though. At first glance, he looks like one of the game managers Alabama paraded out in years past, and that was his role as a freshman before expanded. But he's deceptively athletic and has skill set to impress NFL scouts - size, feet/quickness in the pocket, enough arm and passing efficiency (30TDs/6 INTs last year). He's won a couple SEC divisional titles, played in a national title game. Most impressive, he's run off two of the top rated QBs coming out of HS - Jacob Eason and Justin Fields.
Unfortunately, he has more pro potential than any Cane since Vinny.
