Off-Topic Mass killings

Depends. What does any of that have to do with guns, mental health, and the Second Amendment?
What does a ban on these type of weapons have to do with the actual 2nd amendment text?..you fear a term you can’t even defy..I’m against a mass shooting epidemic that has a common weapon of choice.. and legislation majority of Americans are for passing…but sure “2nd amendment”

So you're okay with mass shootings as long as it's done with a different weapon?

Did you all read either the manager at bowling alley or the bar tried to go after him with a knife?? I am still stumped why no one had their gun with them?

It's like trying to discuss drug problems with people that can't wrap their heads around the mental health aspects or lack thereof involved.... 10 years ago pill factories were closed in mass assuming that would stop the Oxy epidemic that was rampant (Oxy being the most popular but there were many pills)... Problem is drug addicts will just find another way so most moved on to Heroin...
Even now we still have a major heroin/Fentanyl problem....but let's ignore the addict and the condition they have and think taking one drug away will stop the issue...
So let's go ahead and ban AR's....See what happens... I mean do people think that's the only "assault' rifle out there regardless of "popularity??? The issue is people wanting to kill people.... Fix that issue..... If someone wants to kill and you take away one avenue that they want to kill with that's supposed to cure people wanting to kill???
What's to stop them from searching online for info on building a bomb or any other form of way to carry out mass killings???
People are the issue and always have been.... Cure people....

It’s almost like there’s isn’t actual precedent and data that shows a time in modern America where there’s been a assault weapons ban..showing empirical data of a decline in mass shooting events..oh wait

So I guess from 1994-2004..Americans “thoughts and prayers” came through..and Americans hearts just grew..similarly to the grinch..or maybe the cost for your warped version of the 2nd Amendment is elementary aged children left unrecognizable after staring down the barrel of an assault rifle whilst learning ABCs and 123s in school countless times..and them having to go through active school shootings trainings In k-5..and y’all wonder why kids anxiety’s are at all time highs..majority of Americans don’t agree with you on that my guy..and that’s across political lines..but aye man if you don’t like majority dissenting with your opinion..Hungary is a nice place for you

Do countries in EU have ppl with mental health issues?

You had armed police officers in Uvalde who were afraid to stand off vs an individual with a AR..salute to that person who tried to stop him if true..from my understanding Maine has a lot of good folks with a lot of guns..so maybe the idea of “more good guys with a gun” will prevent these tragedies is just bs talk..maybe we need actual elected officials to act on legislation and then offer thoughts and prayers..and if they feel mental healthcare is really the issue, legislate around that instead of ignoring it ..but the way it’s looking “thoughts and prayers” is all they have to offer

Don't kid yourself. Trump is THE consummate politician. To succeed in the cutthroat NYC real estate biz, it's a prime requirement.
Bro no offense, but I build/flip property just like Donald Trump. The “Politician” types don’t last because they’re not trusted.

He‘s obviously on a completely different level but it’s still ran the same. Inspectors, plan reviewer, Building chiefs, GCs, etc aren’t the political types.

It was a no gun zone. There’s a shock. Law abiding people were slaughtered because some liberal thought that banning guns by posting a little paper sign would stop a criminal/nut job. Once again proving that the left has no clue. But the businesses signaled their virtue!

And just so you know, I do not patronize any business that prohibits gun possession other than public sporting events.

Columbine happened during that ban and mass shootings have accelerated since then.

They have mass shootings as well as knife and machete attacks and trucks driven through crowds.

This is not an even worth the debate. Your warped view of the 2nd amendment is a fair trade for lives. Comprehensive gun reform does not mean getting rid of 2nd amendment. It’s utter madness.

During that 10 year period, including columbine
the deadliest mass shooting during the period of the ban the 1994-2004 period saw lower average annual rates of both mass shootings & deaths from such incidents than before the ban was put in place. Again not up for debate. Since you brought up columbine let’s get some facts on that.
Robyn Anderson, a friend of Klebold and Harris, bought the shotguns and the Hi-Point 9mm Carbine at The Tanner Gun Show in December of 1998 from unlicensed sellers. Because Anderson purchased the guns for someone else, the transition constituted an illegal "straw purchase." Klebold and Harris bought the TEC-DC9 from a pizza shop employee named Mark Manes, who knew they were too young to purchase the assault pistol, but nevertheless sold it to them for $500. So in that instance, the shooters circumvented the ban..nonetheless, when we include that event, the data was clear..but man I guess your thoughts and prayers from 94’-2004 were some strong thoughts and powerful prayers because the incidents went down drastically..there have been more mass shooting incidents in 2023 then the total number of days..but I guess that’s just the price for your warped version of the 2nd amendment..send your thoughts & prayers..America needs it

Sound like driving a tanker truck to fuel up tanks to me.
I guess that would be the high-end of the job. What the heck, though, did the Army do for decades before they had "Petroleum Specialists?"

Maybe these "new" MOS's are a recruiting boon, to let recruits specialize in jobs. In this case, though, unless they are gonna work in civilian life in New Jersey (the only state I know where its illegal for customers to pump their own gas) ...

I get what you're saying but still think at the level Trump operated in NYC and Atlantic City and elsewhere , he practiced more real, hard-knuckle politics than the pols in DC. He was more effective too. Don't sell his politician skills short (it's not a dirty word necessarily).

So the ban didn't stop them from getting weapons. But a new one will.
