The GOAT center IMO, Hakeem Olajuwan credited soccer for his footwork being so great. If more of these giant Euro, and African kids with soccer backgrounds get into American football, instead of basketball it could be a bit of an untapped market.

You're already seeing some of this as there are quite a few West African kids playing (or played) HS ball in the NY/NJ, Dallas, Houston area. Same in the DMV area, especially Prince George's County, MD.

Ironically it is the European style of soccer that developed into what you call "kick and chase". It was the South American soccer players who had the very technically skilled dribbling style where they could weave in and out of traffic while possessing(dribbling the ball). IIRC it was a couple of players from Argentina who went to England to play for Tottenham that brought the South American style with them.

The above is all from memory so if I got the above wrong then please correct me!
Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa.

Seems like NIL money being available would push more kids who have the physical talent, to give it a shot.

Alot of these west African kids are into academics.
You see them attending Stanford, Northwestern, etc....those sort of schools.
I'm sure NIL packages are attractive to them, but they are also serious about academics, hence
the interest in athletic scholarships.

Size and untapped ability is intriguing, but I’d imagine that he is down the drawing board.

Italy is really the father of modern football. They were the first country to build a large football training facility to centralize both the national team and to professionalize coaching aspects.

It's something people tend to forget, of course player movement and the international movement of players started to take place, but there's a reason why Italy started winning in the early 60s.

Definitely Italy was a factor.
They brought alot of tactical stuff to the game, especially on defense.
Netherlands also played a role in what later became known as "Total Football" and though they
are not as strong as they were in the 1970s, they still have one of the better developmental leagues.
France also did alot of what you described with Italy from their Clairfontaine facility.
Germany to me is a mix of the above.
Strong development pathways for young players and their players have alot of grit. They can play pretty and they can play ugly, whatever, but there all about winning.
All this to say that whatever one thinks about unfettered immigration, it has done a world of good to Western European soccer with the north and west Africans, eastern Europeans (esp from former Yugoslavia) and the Carribbean.
