The GOAT center IMO, Hakeem Olajuwan credited soccer for his footwork being so great. If more of these giant Euro, and African kids with soccer backgrounds get into American football, instead of basketball it could be a bit of an untapped market.

You're already seeing some of this as there are quite a few West African kids playing (or played) HS ball in the NY/NJ, Dallas, Houston area. Same in the DMV area, especially Prince George's County, MD.
 
Ironically it is the European style of soccer that developed into what you call "kick and chase". It was the South American soccer players who had the very technically skilled dribbling style where they could weave in and out of traffic while possessing(dribbling the ball). IIRC it was a couple of players from Argentina who went to England to play for Tottenham that brought the South American style with them.

Seems like NIL money being available would push more kids who have the physical talent, to give it a shot.
