Marshall Faulk Telling Miami Hurricanes why he didn’t play at Miami

We weren’t the only ones. He’s had interviews where he said all the p5 schools wanted him at db.
SDSU was the only one that said you want to be a running back the you can play RB.

Then in his 2nd game the db who many said couldn't be a rb

Carried 37 times for 386 yards and 7 TDs

That's sick

Recruiting 101 mistake.. Tell the recruit they get a chance at their position and figure it out after.

Oh and I see this call was about Curtis Johnson?! GREAT WR coach, I saw that man work them boys back in the day, detail oriented, pushed them boys to the limit. A GREAT

Best WR Coach in UM History...

When going to greentree you would see a whole other level of play. Coach CJ would rip them boys if they ran a 10 yard route at 9 and a half yards. He had them cones set up, still remember that. That level of detail will never forget.

I spent hrs upon hrs at Greentree while CJ was at UM....

I imagine with his skills and speed he would have eventually turned into an all-world corner as well. He was so much fun to watch as an RB.
I’m 50 and I’ve loved watching football since I was 5 or so. Marshall Faulk at SDSU was truly “MUST SEE TV.” He’s in the top-5 of my lifetime in terms of popping off the screen with athleticism. Lawrence Taylor is also on that list, and I think the other greats are fighting to crack the top-5. Faulk and L.T. make any list, period! Him at the U...wouldn’t have even been fair.

He was one of those players that made the game fun to watch. There have only really been a few of them. Devin Hester was one of ours.

CJ was a great coach but I think Coach Ax was our best WR Coach. Jimmy took him to Dallas and Michael swears by him... nuff said! 2 NC, 3 Super Bowls. Dude has 5 rings. One of the all time great people also.

Don’t forget that we benefitted from an identical decision by UF when they recruited Portis as a corner and not running back, and he was from Gainesville! I guess it kind of evened out. Not saying Porto’s was as good as HOF Faulk, but Portis Was **** good at UM and in the league.
