Marshall Faulk question for the old timers

I remember hearing that Marshall Faulk wanted to be a Cane back in the day but we wanted him at corner. For you guys following recruiting back then was he truly interested and if so who was the coach that wanted him at corner?

Kid had 11 interceptions his senior year. 6 of them were pick-sixes.

What would you recruit him for?

Clearly would’ve been good at either position. Might have told him what he needed to hear to get him in campus

You got to give us a few bread crumbs on who you are because this is an awesome NFL moment.

I remember watching Marshall Faulk when he was at SDSU. I was about 10 years old (bout the same time I started watching Canes games). Faulk was a beast in college. Wishing him nothing but the best!!

Wow! Yes thats me..Its been so long
Eric Kelly...Injuries suck, but I see that you played 3 full seasons, went 3rd round out of Kentucky. Did you also run track? And you're from Panama City, I grew up in the Pan handle as well

But to be fair Falk was the baddest DB in the country he had 11 ints his senior year and housed 6 of em TD’s
Yes, but you tell him straight to his face, if he wants to be a RB, he simply needs to come in and show he can do it. If he can, he gets the job. "Sure, we'll let you try out there, and if it doesn't work out, we'll try to at CB." It was a MASSIVE failure not bringing him in and giving him a shot. If he's the best CB in the country, but wants to try out at a different position, you do whatever it takes to get him in the door.
