If you watch his first start then the Aggie game, you’d swear it was 2 different players. While has developed, Francis has played at an all American level. The value Francis has in the run game alone is understated.

Francis is on another level. But Bell will likely be a good pro if he can learn to move as well as McKinnie,
I have to assume B-Mac has talked to Bell about being that tall and playing LT. There aren’t many players with whom Bell can have that conversation, and it just so happens they have their college in common.

While I agree with the connection, I think b Mac had much more power in his game. I think a better comp for bell is a guy like Alejandro Villanueva. Similar height and not as powerful as a bmac.

Yes. I know exactly what I said. Everyone slobs 61 off and he’s good will be drafted high and then shifted inside because he just ok as a tackle.

Ask yourself this…..why isnt 61 the left tackle, the most important position on the oline?

61 has splash plays, but he is good for a hold and a sack against any rusher with a pulse. There is a reason why Bell is our left tackle and 61 has never been there.

If anyone can find the stats I’m willing to bet that after the cal game 61 has more sacks, pressures and holding calls than 70

Still has another level he can get to but getting a good LT from juco is incredible, we’re lucky to have mirabal

Nobody drafts a tackle in the first round to move him to guard. You can just wait two rounds and take the top guard in the draft.

The nfl is littered with tackles drsfted in first round and moved inside. It’s actually common.

People lare taking what I am saying as a knock on 61, it’s not. He’s very good, but Bell is our LT for a reason not 61

Nobody drafts a tackle in the first round with the intent to move them to guard. There’s probably guys who couldn’t play tackle and had to move to guard but they definitely weren’t drafted to do so. Why pay first round tackle money to a guard?

RT and LT are different positions. Bell would not be as good at RT is Cici, and possibly vice versa as well.

They are both really well suited for their respective positions.

JUST IMAGINE THE EXTRA POWER THE OFFENSE WOULD HAVE WITH A DUAL THREAT BRUISER AT QB….IT WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY UNSTOPPABLE WITH ALL OF OUR OTHER WEAPONS…

I can dig this and get behind this line of reasoning, but people on here act like 61 is a sacred cow without flaws. Not the case imo

I love 61, I thank him and his fam for coming here and playing well. I just think he gets kicked inside at the next level where I think he with thrive too. To many people in their feelings when I have a different opinion
