He’s listed as a senior on the website. I thought he had 3 years of eligibility when he came in last year which would make him a junior yes?
Believe he played 2 years of JUCO so that leaves 2.He’s listed as a senior on the website. I thought he had 3 years of eligibility when he came in last year which would make him a junior yes?
I thought these JUCO guys were all granted an extra year by the NCAA?Believe he played 2 years of JUCO so that leaves 2.
I cant get past how slow out of his stance he looked against speed rushers. If he can engage, he is too big to get around. But If the edge is quick, he is just so big and clumbsy out of his stance. He's probably gone after this year with anything close to an All Conference season.
Is that because of the new JUCO rule?He gets his two years back but If he’s still here in two years things didn’t go well.
Hes supposedly improved a lot from that smaller sample size we saw in relief of Rivers last year. We are gonna find out real quick in 4 weeks.I cant get past how slow out of his stance he looked against speed rushers. If he can engage, he is too big to get around. I'm not an OL guy, just an amateur. But this kid looks like a UDFA to me, maybe a day 3 guy. I don't get the hype.
Part of my Bell skepticism is a desire to see Samson succeed. I had such high hopes for him as a recruit. He profiled as the exact opposite of what I said of Bell: elite athleticism & footwork. I want Samson to step up and take the spot.Hes supposedly improved a lot from that smaller sample size we saw in relief of Rivers last year. We are gonna find out real quick in 4 weeks.
Yeah honestly we can’t play favorites. At this point we need the ABSOLUTE BEST WE HAVE AT EVERY POSITION. Especially since everyone is saying this is a DO OR DIE season for Mario and the program.Part of my Bell skepticism is a desire to see Samson succeed. I had such high hopes for him as a recruit. Obviously I'll be rooting for whoever wins the spot to succeed. And it is probably Bell's job to lose. I just feel like Bell's (lack of) athleticism caps his ceiling. And I worry that he might get Beck killed.
It’s too early for any hype. He played better as the year unfolded but he’s nowhere near a sure thing like some expect. He needs to take another step forward to be the every down guy at the most important OL position LT. The speed of the game was a real issue for him to get acclimated to. I do think he’ll be fine but there’s still questions.I cant get past how slow out of his stance he looked against speed rushers. If he can engage, he is too big to get around. He's a giant human that'll be a near two-year starter at left tackle for a pretty good Power 5 program. The giant human is doing a lot of the heavy lifting there.I cant get past how slow out of his stance he looked against speed rushers. If he can engage, he is too big to get around. Just what was needed, him and Lightfoot were going at it today. He needed work with his feet to me, especially with speed rushers. His long *** reach provide that last shove for a extra second when he is getting beat. It helps. He worked on his footwork this off season. I will be watching.
Bell walked in and was instantly better than samson. He's **** near 6'9 with a crazy wingspan.Part of my Bell skepticism is a desire to see Samson succeed. I had such high hopes for him as a recruit.
