Mark Walton

He will be a top 5 rated back in THE COUNTRY next year. He is a beast.

Wrong Walton is not that talented, He is a good running back at a great program, I couldve put any running back on that team last year and they wouldve put up similar numbers. He is OT on a lil bit of HGH, not very explosive through the hole. I've watched over a dozen Booker T games over the last few years, he never jumped out at you like other RB's do. He is good but he is no game changer...not anywhere in the mold of Sony Michel, or Alex COllins not even close
Today Rivals Top 100 rankings for 2016 MOVED HIM UP to the overall #26 player and #2 RB in the country.

To be fair to Vern Rivals is by all means not the website we need to use to make a point but with that said Walton isn't a top 5 rb anywhere? Yeah..................... pass the **** you're smoking to me please

Walton is a very good prospect, but #26 in the country is too high IMO. I just don't see elite burst from him. I like Cronkrite a bit more.

With that being said, Walton should tear it up this year and I like him as a prospect.

Ill give you your win for today Boar... but just to let you know

2011 Rivals #2 RB in the nation was James Wilder Jr.
2013 Rivals #3 Rb in the nation was Greg Bryant

and those guys were not even the best RB's in their county..

Did you actually believe those rankings too? a 5'9 running back who runs a 4.6 at every camp he goes too and shows no explosion in film is a top 5 RB?? When you get playing time as a sophomore( although he should be a junior) on the #1 high school team in the nation for the last few years you should get noticed. Like I said before he is good but he is not great... I'd love to have him on my team.... but when I have students that have played against him just tell me "he straight"...after telling me how serious other players on the team are and other players on other teams are... that sealed it for me. The film don't lie.

Now if your gonna tell me he is the #2 RB in a year where the talent is extremely down...then ok you win ...but he is nowhere near a top 5 RB in any RB class in the last 10 years..

Agreed. IMO and experience the players are the best judges of talent when it comes to their peers. To me, you can't get a more honest and accurate scouting report. The players know.

1. Scarlett (only on potential)
2. Cronkite
3. Walton

never looked at Williams film yet or see him live so don't know about him

but 2 and 3 can be interchangeable I need to see them this year and ill be seeing a lot of Walton.... Maybe he can change my mind... I like Cronkite explosion through the hole and athleticism but he seems to lack top end speed. You can make a jump senior year though.. Because Yearby was a much better runner then Cook their Junior years..then Cook took that next step... Maybe Walton and Cronkite can do the same

Mark Walton will be a better college running back than Jordan Scarlett & Jordan Cronkrite, save this thread.

I would put Cronk slightly ahead of Walton right now. Scarlett still on top.

Seems like a lot of people are sleeping in Cronk. He is solid.

That's totally possible all them boys got question marks..... but you compare Walton to Duke, ALex, Sony, Devontae Freeman, Mike James,... He doesn't compare to any top running backs in dade county.. And for yall rememberance Eduardo Clements was the #11 ranked running back....ahead of Giovanni Bernard..I love Ot's heart but he was never that talented.. But for what ots worth I believe Mark is better than him

#11

Eduardo Clements

#14

I don't think Eduardo ever had a season he wasn't hurt. I thought he was stellar coming out of high school. Not better than Gio but a baller in his own right.
