Mark Walton

Yeah, i remember the fact pattern. It was strange back then and it's still strange now. I came away back then believing he had done absolutely nothing wrong. And perhaps that's still the case. But all this new stuff makes me wonder if there was something more to it.

eh, out of the three times hes been in trouble (this time around), only the latest one seems ridiculous. i watched the video of the parking lot dispute and it wasn't really much. however, fleeing from cops after being tased or w.e. is something.

C'mon, man. CTE is real no doubt, but it can't be used an excuse for anything and everything someone who played football does. There are 10s of thousands of people who took more head shots than Mark did who aren't out doing stupid sh-t and getting arrested by cops three times in a month.

CTE affects different people differently....

Not every player get's CTE despite the same level of brain traumas. Just like not everyone get's heart attacks from eating the same bad diet.

But when someone goes from being a role model student to an out of control person with poor decision-making and impulse control, you are seeing clear-cut evidence of something going wrong in his brain.

Now i can't rule out he hasn't been doing coke and meth which will also destroy your brain, but the likely scenario here is CTE. But it's very likely that CTE is a cause here.

To all the real UM fans, pray for mark, the real people know how tough Life can be with no Father at an early age and the way his Mother left here. Alot of pain that man dealing with, let alone dealing with alot these a-hole police round here. Rooting for you mark, and not just from saturdays past, stay strong playa!

Sure, I hear you. But some people also just get carried away with themselves and start making bad decisions. Happens to a lot of people when they go from having nothing to suddenly being rich and powerful. IMO, that is looking more likely re Mark than him being some mental zombie who is completely unable to control himself solely because of CTE.

Kid needs counseling he had a rough life.

This. Dude loses both of his parents before he hits the age of 20. He's probably has a lot of anger issues. He may be thinking all the time 'my family is not here to see how far I've made it. I couldn't hug my mom when I got drafted' ...etc.

When my lil' relative lost his dad, he turned from a 3.83 student to a 2.3 student over night. Dude stopped going to class, started smoking, started fighting all the **** time. When his mom left to go be w/ another dude and raise a new family, my guy became a killer, fa real. He's at San Quentin as we speak and he finally admitted to my dad via letter that losing his parents both physically and emotionally spiraled him out of control and he always wondered what happened to that kid that was on his way to greater things. He's trying to get therapy in prison, but it's too late.

You never know what triggers someone, and losing parents, especially while young, can often cause it. You get mad at God, you get mad at the world and some can't handle it. They literally become a different person.

Thats a fact. Some people just can't handle that type of stress. I hope lil relative comes home soon.

Thats one spin. The other way to spin it would be maybe he DID do something more back then and they simply decided not to prosecute. I sure didn't feel that way back then, but the latest developments now make me question whether I was wrong.

I'd suggest you read exactly what happened again because your opinion might change. What Miami PD did was flat out crazy, the entire story made zero sense, and this one feels the same way.

He got tased, pulled out the prongs then ran off? Really? You wanna try that and see how it goes?

Everyone who gets caught with it by police, because, ya know, it's illegal still in most states. Let's not argue over whether it SHOULD be legal (it should be), because breaking the law is breaking the law.

Also, you didn't mention his 2 other arrests.

LMAO everyone who gets caught with it gets arrested. Wake up.

Also, I did mention one of his other arrests. Read the thread. His other arrest was 100% BS. This one seems like it too.

He’s been arrested 3 times this offseason. And it’s only April. Embarrassing for the University of Miami.

Yes, I'm enabling someone I've never met who was already clearly framed by the same police department once. That's what's happening.

If you trust the police so much, I suggest you cooperate fully with them when you get pulled over next time, because they'll certainly help you out and not use everything you say against you in the court of law.

I fully cooperate with police every time I interact with them. Only idiots don't. Your remedy for them doing something improper is in the courtroom, not on the street while being confronted by them.

As to your other post above, I watched a video two nights ago of a guy who pulled taser prongs off himself and continued attacking an officer. Happens more than you realize.

So just to make sure I'm clear... you're suggesting this recent incident with Mark didn't happen at all and was just entirely made up by the police department?

Naw bro....He's gotta do a min of a quarter and he's only 2 yrs in the bid. But I was happy to hear he admitted that's what happened. Some folks are built different man. Stress can bust mental pipes.

Naw ur right they framed 4 times lol. If u want to get deep i meant ur social commentary enables by making light of a misdemeanor arrest. Yes today its a misdemeanor, 2mrw its a felony, and lastly it becomes a capital offense. You try to correct the behavior at the misdemeanor level so that it doesnt get worse. If u havent noticed the actions r getting more destructive but w.e. ur just another dude with another misinformed opinion that probably does little to serve society. I knw i knw police r all corrupt, politicians r all corrupt, n society is all corrupt, even if thats the case, WHICH ITS NOT, what doea that have to do with personal responsibility? Act like a good guy, u will be treated like a good guy. Example Demetrius Jackson, and hes from the same the ***ing place too.

LMFAO!!! Same people doggin University of Georgia " KIDS " for minor offenses are NOW making excuses for a former Cane player and GROWN *** MAN...ALREADY in the pros? Only on Cane insight lol!
