Would've been my number 2 pick behind Kiffin. Guy does not lose to inferior teams. Exactly what's needed to win the POS coastal.

he would have been a great candidate here. this is the penalty for sitting on your *** for two weeks trying to hire an AD in order to hire a coach

Feels like the BOT asswipes that are pushing for Mario are in it for Mario and not the football program. If they can't get their guy then to **** with the football program. They just want their buddy here.

I said this in the other Stoops thread but it will probably get deleted so I'll say it here too.

realize that there is a reason he hasn't left Kentucky. clearly the people doing the hiring don't think as highly of him as y'all do.

He has a sweetheart deal. Never thought he'd leave unless given Nick Saban type money. He probably the 2nd cushiest gig in cfb given his contract structure and fan expectations. Just by being in the SEC, UK is going to get a 70+ million annual cut from football alone. No one has even remotely suggested that UK should compete for the SEC title. He just needs to win 8+ games a year and fans will be happy.

I used to be on board with Mark Stoops also, but then Oklahoma lost their coach and I had a realization...

If Mark Stoops is so amazing, then why isn't Oklahoma trying to hire him? His brother practically runs that program. That would have been a quick and easy call to make. But instead, they're talking about Venables and other people.

So that's a red flag for me. For some reason the people who know him best are not trying to poach him from Kentucky, and you gotta wonder why.

I know this is beaten to death but every school is out here making big boy moves in a matter of days while we are still having a ****ing match internally smh
 
This administration knows EXACTLY what they are doing. It’s musical chairs, and they are choosing to stay seated. At this point, I don’t even believe the whole Mario to Miami **** either. Why? Let’s use good ol’ fashioned COMMON SENSE. We are waiting to hire an AD so that HE can evaluate Manny and possibly hire “HIS GUY”??? Buuuuuut…the administration is openly pining for Mario??? Sooo the AD actually WON’T have a say in who the next HC will be??? Help me out here..I’m TOTALLY CONFUSED??? This is all complete bullsh1t, fellas. This also tells me they are bringing in yet another beta, limp dck’d puppet for purely political reasons. Nunez is the guy…with Alonzo “thrown in” to satiate the mouth breathers. Manny will be back for another year…
