It is better then those gawd awful bubble screens James Coley would call 15 times a game.

Exactly, and he understands the benefit of a **** fullback as well as passing out of run heavy formations. Offense is in good hands with these athletes for sure. A lot hinges on his D-coordinator hire.

One thing for sure Richt will have Kaaya throwing over the middle more. More slants more posts. Those are the easiest to throw. Coley did not throw over the middle enough. Especially on 3rd down. Hence the crappy conversion rate.

Valid info. Richt does run a ton of shallow crosses. The tight end is not as deep as I'd prefer. Georgia sometimes got in trouble with that, such as Nebraska keying on Arthur Lynch in that bowl game a couple of years ago. Lynch was blasted on some key plays and dropped the ball on 4th down to end the game and allow Nebraska to pull off the upset.

Still, the bottom line is very good. Georgia is always at or near the top of the SEC in yards per pass attempt. I chart that every year and can't remember one season in which they lagged near the bottom. Actually, 2015 is maybe the worse they've been but it's still not bad...nearly 7.5 YPA.

We need some of those Big uglies though. Hopefully he can come in and develop the OL soon.

How does what Richt says in this video apply to his offense?

Is his entire offense based off of variations of this play like Georgia Tech with the triple option?

Looks like Circle-Curl-Flat to me, except His Circle, is a crosser...good Cover 3/4 Under beater.
Mike jumps the Curl, hit the crosser...Mike jumps the crosser, hit the curl.
Or you can play games with the flat defender...flat defender jumps the flats, hit the curl...flat defender jumps the curl, hit the flats.

A lot of offenses run the same play out of multiple formations. Different window dressing to get to the same point.

Dunno about this throwing downhill stuff. Whenever Coley has a 3rd and 6 or 7 his bubble screen is a guaranteed 1 to 3 yards! Not to mention Golden has 4th down to try again.
