Mark Richt Football Camps

Go check out the cost of UF's and Jimbo's camp at FSU. Pretty much in line with Richt's.

Check out what Saban is charging...

None of these schools are in South Florida where the broke kids and under paid coaches are...

Yet they consistently get kids from South Florida to attend. You guys are assuming that every kid we recruit are poor and can't afford camps or that Miami is the only place where poor people exist lol

BECAUSE THEY PRETTY MUCH PAY THEIR HANDLERS/COACHES to bring them....how come Mr. Crystal ball is so loved by the hs coaches.

Miami Kids aint paying for camps when..again...there are soooo much more options for camps down here for free or on the cheap.

History has shown that.....add to it...Our brand isnt as big anymore..FSU owns the state...they can charge/do whatever they want at this point.

Guess yall wasnt up on the "game"....you think these volunteer coaches in dade an broward are taking these kids in a rented van all over the south east??..those s.fla kids going to the camps in sec country are going for "free"..and their coaches are getting paid stop..for "coaching" at these camps....

Richt should of started off at a lower price..but its a money thing for "HIM" as technicaly that money goes direct to him and whoever he pays to coach..its not from the university

Which camp are you most likely to commit after, the great camp that you invested big money in or the cheap one that you were begged to be a part of?

Golden did a lot of things wrong here, but the cheaper camps wasn't one of them. You want to get the kids in, then you can make the sell. If they aren't even here it makes it more difficult. Lots of kids in South Florida can't afford it.

And it didn't yield big results. All we got out of Golden's cheap camps were kids who had no business at Miami. So to me Shannon's camps being too expensive was nothing but another excuse from anti-Miami South Florida people who expect Miami to get on their hands and knees for them but they show no respect towards to school at all yet they bow down to the Bamas and the LSUs and FSUs with no hesitation.

We'll see if these kids really do get charged (the ones that are actually wanted). Last year a friend of mine that coaches took Trajan Bandy and a few other players to the Dawg Night. Pruitt was begging Bandy to show up (Funny that he spoke to him for 5 min and didn't offer him, despite asking him to drive up to Athens Ga. Offered at Bama, though). None of the kids paid, including the ones that ended with zero D1 offers. They went to FSUs first, and I doubt that they paid. Had a few friends that coached the camp, and yes coaches get paid, but it's not that much.

I brought a few players to Shannon's camp, and none of them paid. If a kid wasn't asked to come in, they would wait for the combine testing to finish (beginning of the camp) and just walk in and say they were late LULZ. I found this out by a SFE player that ended up playing corner at WKU. I saw him at UMs cafeteria with a few other D1 kids while the camp had already started. They all said they were just waiting for the combine testing to finish. None of them were highly rated or wanted kids.

Spot on...high prices are for the rich kids which will subsidize the free attendance of the actual recruits...you are an idiot if you think it works any other way.

Also, kids are definitely just as broke in other parts of the country and not paying if they are a prospect

Im flabbergasted that you would put such a restriction on poor kids when the amount is very little in the grand scheme of things.

I guess a lot of you pay sticker price when you buy a car.

This... People are freaking out about the LISTED price here... You think kids who have legitimate scholarship offers and/or interest from the staff are going to pay their way into these camps?

Just like everything else at UM, there will be "discount" opportunities for those that deserve/need it.

This reminds me of all of those parties/dinners I've been to and had state school grads comment on my UM education as being "wildly expensive". What they fail to realize is that UM offers anywhere between 50-100% scholarships for a vast majority of undergrads.

Yeah ... Anybody who thinks EVERY kid that attends these events pays the registration fee doesn't really understand how it works.

An elite recruit isn't paying to attend.

And the idea is to have it pricey enough for where marginal prospects really have to consider if they want to make the investment. Golden's camp was too cheap ... But that's because he was coming from a Temple program where they had to be cheap. There's really no way Miami's camps should have been as inexpensive as they were under Golden, IMO.

These *****es ain't that broke. They running around with iPhones and **** so somebody got a little bread coming in some where.

There is an NCAA minimum you have to pay. I think like 35 bucks. The invited kids will pay this. Everyone else will pay more.

This is also how you get better assistance and coordinators. They get to make a little more in the summer. This is not a bad thing.

What is the problem? Do you think Miami isnt going to play the same game? Make money from the marginal players who can pay for exposure. It will make that free or discount camp offer look better! Do you want free headphones that are normally $5 or do you want free Beats?

Yeah but let's be real the cost of an iPhone today is nothing compared to the price 5 or 6 yrs ago. Besides most of these kids don't have the top plans from ATT, Sprint and TMoble. Those kids have the discount plans from Metro PC and the like. Big difference in price. And that is what we are talking about. These kids aint paying top dollar when they can get the same exposure if not more from free or less expensive camps here in Florida. One thing about broke people they are consistent when it comes to getting the hookup.

Didnt read the whole thread but have mercy on your soul if you think these kids are actually being "charged" to come to these camps. They just have to show up and everything else is taken care of...

Maybe you should read the thread because it has more to do with exposure than it is about who host the camps. History has proven that when UM host a high priced camp it has low prospect turnout. Therefore less media coverage. Don't think for one minute that prospects aren't trying to maximize media exposure.
