He plays GT every year and they won 58% of their games during that time. I wouldn't say this is much of an accomplishment.

He's won his in-state rivalry game 13 of last 15. That's impressive. (Going 5-10 against Gators not so much)

Fun fact: He's faced 5 different Gator head coaches since arriving at UGA.

Correct:

0-1 vs Spurrier
1-2 vs Zook
1-4 vs Urban
3-1 vs Muschamp
0-1 vs HorseTeeth

2-9 vs coaches not named Muschamp. Only team in their division with similar talent levels and recruiting grounds.

Hey dummies talmbout Richt over two year span or whatever. Patterson took TCU 7-6 in 2012 and 4-8 in 2013.

And Jimmy Johnson got it handed to him by Ok and Neb while at Ok St.

Every coaching job is unique - let's see what he can do at Miami....

His tenure with Georgia is now in the rear view mirror....

My only concern with richt is does he want to coach. I'm not worried about the big game talk because he would only have one big game a year in the regular season, maybe two depending on non conference schedule.

He definitely wants to. In fact he made that clear in press conference at UGA when talking about wanting to be hands on again and calling plays (something the new AD stripped him of by giving him the CEO title, etc. They wanted him to kiss babies and please boosters. Ain't nobody got time for actual coaching).

I think UM will be the spark he needs. Plus he's only 55

If the worst thing to happen is for Richt to make us a perennially 9-3/10-2 team with biannual visits to the ACCCG and routinely ranked in the Top 15, then we are already better off than we are now. I'm not sliding the scale of success out another 10 years, but if he didn't win the whole thing here after 4-5 years but did all of the above we are no longer a 'irrelevant program' and would be in a better spot to make another great hire with a stocked cupboard.
