2027 Mark Matthews 5* OL from STA Commits to TAMU

Perhaps, just perhaps, the guy doesn't want to come because he sees the guys already here and is not confident that he will play immediately...............In any event, if he goes somewhere else, I am glad it it not a school in our state or conference.

This is an issue we will encounter going forward.
A few years ago we were recruiting to stock the team with elite talent, to be on the same field with the elite teams.
We selled playing time on a team trying to rise vs elite teams that were stocked with talent across the board.
We have risen to elite status which means schools will recruit against our stocked roster.
This is not unlike 2002-2005 era where we still had alot of talent but not adding enough elite thanks to other schools selling PT. Coker and his staff failed to overcome this problem.
I can be wrong, but I think Mario, his staff and the school are in better position to do better.

The Foreclosure part 2. I’m kidding, kind of. This will be the biggest miss by Mario imo and shouldn’t happen.

I was going to reply to that and realized it wasn’t worth my time however i can’t resist.

Anyone ever remember that kid from heritage who was committed, reclassified, visited Alabama, then decommitted? Whatever happened to him. . . Alabama felt the need to recruit an undersized WR when Lotzeir Brooks was already committed to them. Somehow that’s not high-profile lol.

Fletcher. Lyle. Moore second guessed his flip and thought about flipping back to UF for a moment. Scott. Lowe. Carr. Blount. Lightfoot. Lane Kiffin had quotes about Chance Robinson that anyone can google….they illustrate how badly he wanted him. Bain & SiSi & Samson. Flipped Ray Ray from Clemson. Beat out Clemson and Bama for Damari Brown. Flipped Brody Jennings & Collins A from Michigan. Wyman flipped from UGA like Spafford. Popo didn’t even OV here before his decision. Evans, Lafayatte, Stancil — all flips. Seatbelt flipped.

I think I’m done here.

I don't remember that kid you're talking about from Heritage. He was a QB or something but played WR in between?

Seeing the emotion-only responses from some of the porsters on here is kind of embarrassing. I mean all fan bases do it, but each time I see it, I get flashbacks to my first high school girlfriend who seemed to think giving up the poontang under the bleachers meant we were married and became unhinged when I left after we (er, I) finished.

Big daddy- for every baby Jezuz that’s 27 on the way in the vast majority are 18+ by the time they set foot on campus— you’re kinda splitting hairs there Omaha think? Regardless, you get the point-
Not sure why you felt so compelled to make that distinction— makes no difference really….
The guys making decisions RIGHT NOW are juniors in high school. The vast majority are 16 and 17 years old. I chose the older of the two ages in order to not come off as disingenuous.

I'm a little salty after reading some of these insultingly stupid takes. Apologies for you getting caught in the cross-fire. They're just paintballs....wash if off. The welt will disappear once the bruising fades.
I gotcha now worries Hoss

Critical miss if Miami doesn't land Matthews. Optically it's arguably worse. This is a must land, not sure there's a coach who's been left on read more this cycle.

I trust and believe in Mario, but this needs to get done.
You realize these kids have GOD knows how many people in their ears!?

AND what might be cut & dried to us is up for debate in their minds, maybe? Take the orange & green glasses off

Maybe they don’t feel the love, no vibe? Maybe they’re shrewd and going to highest bidder—

you can only control so much in this process- you’re insane if you try to make any inference to our abilities and effort based on the decision of a 17 yr old kid with 9 different people in his ear….

This is what passes for analysis on this board? Jezuz-***** Lord help us all!

Classic south Florida kid. Every reason in the word to come to Miami and he wants to go live in the middle of no where for a program who hasn’t ever won a **** thing. You can’t make this up. Idk what is up with the football culture in South Florida but the loyalty to the hometown program has gotta be some of the worst in the country. Even the ones who end up staying like Fletcher and Mali we had to work our *** off to keep or flip back. It’s unreal. Thank god we have a coach who can recruit at a National Level. To me this is the biggest difference between Mario and previous coach. Previous staffs went all in on South Florida year after year and it always blew up in our face. No surprise we finally get a coach who doesn’t need to rely on them as much and we start winning again. Try your best to keep the top guys home but don’t ever ever build your board around only South Fl talent.
