Mark is the wrong coach

UGA didn't win any more than UNC until Richt got there.

Idk what else to tell u. Only a full blown idiot who has no clue what he is talking about would compare unc and uga jobs. Uga is better job than unc why are u trying to argue that? U think any coach out there would pick unc over uga? Ur trolling man

Again, not what I said. You keep reading and seeing things that aren't there. Frankly you are impossible to talk to. Peace out.

Then exactly what the **** is your argument? explain it to me.

You spent alot of time trying to hype up UNC and downplay UGA. Your words, not mine. You even went as far as to say that UNC dominated the ACC for years.

So again, wtf is your point?

Like I said, never mind. It is clear from your answers you are not getting a lick of what I am saying. Not worth pursuing. I have better things to do with my time. Peace out. And I mean that with respect.

Ok, im the one that cant comprehend? I'll just leave this right here....

Horse****. UVA is .500 in their history and Duke and Wake WAY below .500, while UNC dominated the ACC for years and has a .562 all time wining %. Not even close to being in the same class. UNC is as strong relative to the ACC as UGA is to the SEC. In the 15 years prior to hiring Mark Richt UGA won 10 games only twice. TWICE. In 15 years. UNC won tens games 3 times over the same time frame. That's because of the level of competition. And by the way Davis average season at UNC was 7-6. Fedora has done a better job. 8-5. UNC improved after he left. And the real question isn't ****ing UNC relative to UGA but UM relative to UGA, but your stupid *** doesn't even realize that despite the fact that I've said it twice. You really are a moron. In the first half of the 20th century it would have been easier to win a NC at Minnesota. They were an elite program in the CFB world. That world has changed. You are comparing apples and oranges. UM is still a plum opportunity. Clearly a better place to win NC in the last thirty years than UGA. But don't burn out the 2 watt circuit in your head trying to figure that out.

Correct. However, Butch's best season is light years ahead of Richt's best season. He got way closer than Richt ever has.

That's just not true. Richt went 13-1(finished 3rd) in 2002 but didn't make the championship game due to Ohio State and Miami (ironic) going undefeated. He also went 12-2 in 2007 (finished 2nd in AP). How is Butch 's 11-1 season that much better than those two finishes?

Seriously, how?

Seriously? Butch shoulda been in Nc game instead of fsu who we beat. We woulda waxed oklahoma so we were arguably the best team in the country. The next year they proved it. But ur saying Richt season was better even tho there were 2 undefeated teams ahead of them one being us with butchs team lmao u sed it yourself uga finished 3rd butch finished 2nd so tell me again how 3rd is better than 2nd.

Deez Nutz,

Devils Advocate:

Why did Butch get screwed out if the National Title game and not Washington (11-1) who beat us, beat Oregon State(11-1) and lost at Oregon(9-2)? Yes we gave FSU(11-1) and VT(11-1) their only losses......but Washington gave us and Oregon State their only losses and beat us? Why were we more deserving then them?

Butch shouldn't have lost to Washington....Just like Richt (13-1) should not have lost to UF.

Both years are actually the same on paper.

PS...2007 Richt finished #2

FSU was a bigger win than Wash vs Oregon ST. FSU was #1 and #2 all year until we beat them. They climbed right back up to #3 after that. So theres goes that argument smartass. If you were paying attention at the time (idk how old you are) you would know that Miami and Oklahoma were clearly the top two teams in the country and FSU was a clear 3rd.

I think most of you just look at stats and records trying to sound smart. gtfoh talking about "on paper"....butch's team only went on to be considered arguably the greatest team in CFB history.

Yes Beating FSU was bigger than Washington beating Oregon State......APPLES TO ORANGES...You apply contradictory logic consistently to appear knowledgeable.

Hillarious

Washington beating Miami was a bigger win than Miami beating FSU.....Correct or do you dispute that?

This thread is at nine pages and no one has yet to explain to me why Richt is the wrong coach.
And no one has explained who is a better option either.

Name a better available coach than Richt.

And dont you dare say Butch.

Paul Davis. Anyway, Mark is it now and we will never be what we were, so let's go Canes.

butch, who i did want as well prior to richt getting fired, hasn't coached in years and no was begging for his services either. he was a great recruiter but not a great gameday coach. butch might have brought miami back or might have failed. he stocked UNCs roster w talent but delivered mediocre results. he likely would have been great the year they got hammered by the UNC but we dont know for sure.

I agree it was a bigger win in hindsight. But just barely better, by a hair. Thats with the benefit of hindsight, because if FSU beats Oklahoma in the NC game than Miami's win over FSU would be bigger than Washington's win against Miami.

However, you are the one applying contradictory logic. Lets say their wins were about equal...

Washington loss to 2-loss Oregon. Meanwhile Miami loss to 1-loss Washington who you claim deserved to be in the NC game just as much as Miami and finished ranked #3 .

So quality wins about equal, however Miami's loss is not nearly as bad as Washington's loss.
There goes your bs logic.

richt is good coach but IMO has no chance of winning natty at Miami

i felt with Butch you at least had a chance of winning national championships

What makes you think no chance? X's and O's? Recruiting? Just don't think he has it in him?

I think the coach Richt we see at UM will be back in the mold of his late OC/early HC years, and I think he will absolutely have a chance to win NCs here at UM. We'll see.
