Mark Fletcher

I need to go back and watch it , my guy that’s a rb in college texted me “ Fletcher missed a huge hole “. He made it sound like it was a TD if he saw it
He did. He cut in/left instead of going right and he would have been huge run. Out of pistol.

Would have been a difficult cut. Francis got beat one of the only times all night on the play. Run was designed to go up the middle and the DE got inside. If he makes the cut yes it’s a long game but that is a very difficult play for the RB

For the love of God…Fletcher has been the epitome of a true Cane and has played like an animal in the CFP. We wouldn’t t have even sniffed this game if he wasn’t here. Did he miss a block on a blitz up the middle? Yes. Did he perhaps miss a hole and lose the opportunity for a big gain? Who the F knows?

What I do know is this MFer is one of the greatest Canes of all time and by all accounts a terrific human being.

Is he perfect? No. That’s what makes him human.

Praise him and be thankful for his contributions to the team. It’s like we forgot he brought us back from the brink with a 57 yard TD. Yet here we are pointing out that he missed a hole. Lace your boots up and get in the **** backfield and contend with the Hoosier defense and see if you can take advantage of what Fletch missed.

You swing, you GOT TO take off the helmet too
It ain’t like him to get into that. That dude said something or did something to him way back on the first or second drive that had him fuming.
There are things that can be said, that “rules” don’t apply to. I have a feeling he did that. It’s just not something I’ve seen from Fletcher. I’m always watching the chatter after plays, he’s not generally involved.

We went away from him because we couldn't run it in the 1st half. I will watch this game in about a week or so. It appeared they knew every play we were running in the 1st half. They appeared to know if it was a run or pass and what hope we were running. Example, I only noticed Ponds up basically on the line, rushing around the end twice unblocked when Fletcher was running around the end (C gap). He did it on the right side. Then later in the half he did it again on the left side. It was like Dawson was calling their plays for them. I would love to watch it in all 22 or aerial view.

Wasn't there something that Geo posted which had Rumph in the comments saying Tucker said something about Mark's dad...if so, I get it-which is surprising considering Tucker's mom passed before transferring to IU.

Fletcher has already said he's coming back.

And so much of our fanbase is stuck in the CFB dinosaur (pre-NIL) era. Guys like Moten & Fletcher will make more here next year than they would in the NFL.

Get used to very few players going pro early, because that is the new reality
