Mark Fletcher

Idgaf what anyone says. Our running back room is ****. Chris Johnson should be ******* ****ed he is sitting behind these dudes and not getting play. Does Mario like the seniority plays bull****?

We really miss Parrish. He has the best vision, agility, and wiggle of all the backs.
👀 the fact you’re so confident saying that and that a plethora of people liked it is astonishing. It‘s 2 and 28 then everybody else.

Y’all gotta chill man. The kid runs hard as **** every time he gets it. He’s not elite and he’s not a game breaker, but It’s not the kids fault he’s getting 20 carries a game as a true freshman. Blame the guy who refuses to hand the ball to the fastest guy on the team. And the guy who refused to keep handing it off to Chaney who was virtually unstoppable for a long stretch of the game.

Tough kid. Runs and blocks hard.

With that said, he lacks vision. I couldn’t for the life of me understand why, after missing hole after hole, he kept getting trotted back out there. It just wasn’t his day today. Chaney played well, but I think he got nicked up.

Where is Parrish? Where is Allen?

If we’re going to run the ball to death, we have zero room for error. Our backs can’t miss creases and our line can’t blow assignments up front. I’m hoping Mark watched the film and learns from this game. We’re going to need him going forward.

Oh, and off topic, but XR7 played his worst game in Cane uniform. Didn’t have that on my bingo card. What a shame.
agree he did miss quite a few openings, also he better dropped his pads (runs to high) before he get annihilated

Runs with his eyes closed… Chaney was grabbing huge chunks taking that cut at the 2nd level consistently
Fletcher seemed to be more instinctive earlier in the year, he did bounce one or two outside. Looks like he is more worried about ball security than anything else.

This o-line has been really wasted this year. The rbs can't see **** or break tackles and TVD can't find receivers even though he gets 5 minutes each time he passes. A good OC and some improved skill guys could do some ******* work with these guys.

Concerning part is you can't really work on vision, you either have it or you don't. I wish he was a more patient back and allowed the Holes to open up but he's a north-south runner and likes to hit the hole hard so it's a double edge sword.

Chaney should be RB1 but injuries are derailing his career.

The guy just averaged 7.1 yards a carry against our biggest rival and would have gone over 100 easily but they stopped going to him. 🤷‍♀️

Would have loved to have seen Allen against fspoo. He probably shakes one loose that fletcher get 2 yards on

It's hard to work on but you develop a feel for it once you see it on film and see where your lanes are coming up. Biggest thing for Fletcher is keeping his eyes up and seeing it. To me it looks like he's head down hitting the gap the play is designed but not seeing the lanes at the 2nd level. It can be taught and developed with experience. You just hope he takes to it and the game slows down for him.

Some of it is just patience. He goes 100 mph to the hole and can't adjust. I've seen his acceleration and stop/start and ability to put a foot in the ground and cut or jump cut into the hole.

Yeah on some plays he runs right into defenders. This would have been a long run if he makes that cut. With that being said I’m overall impressed with him for sure this season. He will keep getting better and better

I see this play and immediately get depressed. Safety came down on a backside blitz and gets picked up by Riley. When MF hits the hole playside corner Renardo Green still has his back turned away from the play and Jacolby there to make the block. Fletcher just has to outrun the angle the backside corner takes.

This play has TD potential or is 35yd+ if Fletcher just cuts to his right. 🤦🏾‍♂️
