Straight-ahead runner without top speed.
And maybe it’s just me thinking this, but he seems to get tripped up quite often.
To me all of our RBs get tripped up often.

Yeah He Left about 50-60 yards on the field. That one run the left side was wide open and he cuts to where the defender is. Did it 4-5 times. He had cut backs like Don but doesn’t have the vision or versatility to get outside.
We really miss Parrish. He has the best vision, agility, and wiggle of all the backs.
Dude would be murdered if he played this year. He‘s rail, rail thin.Idgaf what anyone says. Our running back room is ****. Chris Johnson should be ******* ****ed he is sitting behind these dudes and not getting play. Does Mario like the seniority plays bull****?
agree he did miss quite a few openings, also he better dropped his pads (runs to high) before he get annihilatedTough kid. Runs and blocks hard.
With that said, he lacks vision. I couldn’t for the life of me understand why, after missing hole after hole, he kept getting trotted back out there. It just wasn’t his day today. Chaney played well, but I think he got nicked up.
Where is Parrish? Where is Allen?
If we’re going to run the ball to death, we have zero room for error. Our backs can’t miss creases and our line can’t blow assignments up front. I’m hoping Mark watched the film and learns from this game. We’re going to need him going forward.
Oh, and off topic, but XR7 played his worst game in Cane uniform. Didn’t have that on my bingo card. What a shame.
Fletcher seemed to be more instinctive earlier in the year, he did bounce one or two outside. Looks like he is more worried about ball security than anything else.Runs with his eyes closed… Chaney was grabbing huge chunks taking that cut at the 2nd level consistently
AJ alsoWe really miss Parrish. He has the best vision, agility, and wiggle of all the backs.
Yeah on some plays he runs right into defenders. This would have been a long run if he makes that cut. With that being said I’m overall impressed with him for sure this season. He will keep getting better and better
The guy just averaged 7.1 yards a carry against our biggest rival and would have gone over 100 easily but they stopped going to him.Concerning part is you can't really work on vision, you either have or you don't. I wish he was a more patient back and allow the Holes to open up but he's a north-south runner and likes to hit the hole hard so it's a double edge sword.
Chaney should be RB1 but injuries are derailing his career.
It's hard to work on but you develop a feel for it once you see it on film and see where your lanes are coming up. Biggest thing for Fletcher is keeping his eyes up and seeing it. To me it looks like he's head down hitting the gap the play is designed but not seeing the lanes at the 2nd level. It can be taught and developed with experience. You just hope he takes to it and the game slows down for him.Concerning part is you can't really work on vision, you either have or you don't. Reminds me a bit of Gus Edwards -- the one at Miami, not the new model with the Ravens.tough, physical, but plodding runner. Dont see anything particular special with him..
