Mark Fletcher Jr’s Legacy at Miami

It’s still being written but it feels like things have changed

Pretty much known as a reliable if unspectacular short yardage battering ram with limited speed

Somewhere along the lines this kid has turned into the heart and soul of this program

And on top of that he’s carrying the team on the field in the biggest games

All the talk about Smith and Miami but thank goodness Mark Fletcher wasn’t playing for the Buckeyes last night

He looks more explosive than he ever has. He is playing on a whole different level right now. Huge fan and I was one who questioned his speed. Not sure if he has lost weight, gotten healthy or the team is just blocking better but he has been special in this run. Super happy for the kid who bleeds orange and green.

He will go down as a cane legend either way. True team first guy. I hope he returns for a senior year but he may play himself into a 3-5th rd pick if Miami wins it all. Can’t blame him if he changes his mind and leaves early .

Mario said he’s the heart and soul of the team. I don’t think there’s any denying it.

He will have a legacy up there with all the greats if we take this thing all the way and he plays like he has the last two games.

Already said he’s coming back
Thanks now that you said that I do remember him saying that. But I can’t remember what I had yesterday for lunch ( do remember I had a turkey sandwich for dinner and it might become my new pregame meal if we keep winning) so it’s not surprising I didn’t remember it.

He’s always been the heart and soul of this team, sorry it’s taken you so long to get there…kid exemplifies 305, culture, family, he’s the goods.

Whatever you ate yesterday before the game has to be eaten before every game going forward, sorry those are the rules.

I was craving a Hardee’s sausage biscuit before the Syracuse game so they now have a regular customer and I just have to tack 30 minutes on the workout after the game.

We are definitely blocking much better, and a lot of the improvement happened when Fletcher was out injured and getting back in the swing of things to close the regular season. OL is blowing everyone off the ball. TEs are blocking well - finally - in the run game. WRs are blocking at even higher level than the rest of the year.

Fletcher is a great RB, who's style fits perfectly for the way we run the ball. He came really close to breaking an explosive or two against OSU.

He will break one if Mario would learnt to block. He has been so close and each time it’s cause Marion’s guy gets there to slow him down. If it was Mali blocking they would be TD’s

Oh yea it’s definitely Turkey Sandwich pregame meal…more of a ham guy but I’ll be a turkey Guy now.

great post OP.

i felt like the way he finished the long run at A&M, stiff arming the DB for 30 yards, and then popping up off the field and galvanizing the team emotionally, in a very nervous moment, said a lot about his personality.

and then a few carries later, he converted a big first down by jump cutting through a late developing hole and breaking a tackle by shfiting his feet away from the defender, which said a lot about why he's our starting RB. he's always had light feet for a bigger back

I swear he looks faster the last two games.. Not sure if I’m seeing things through orange and green glasses or not.. 🤷‍♂️
He looks thinner and more explosive

And I dont know if my eyes are deceiving me

But the performance bears it out

Hey 4 we're grateful. BIG MARK RIP, I know youre ear to ear right now
