Mark Fletcher is the best blocking RB in America

Posting his blocking highlights because he hasn't done anything in the run game all playoffs!
What The Hell Wtf GIF

I was just talking about this very thing with a good friend of mine. I told him that I want this squad to win the title so bad but it's not for my gratification. It's for these kids! It's for Mark Fletcher, Rueben Bain, Akheem Mesidor, Keionte Scott, Jakobe Thomas, Carson Beck, Malachi Toney, CJ Daniels, Keelan Marion, Cici Mauigoa, Ahmad Moten, Damari Brown, OJ Frédérique, Wesley Bissainthe, Mo Toure, Marquis Lightfoot, Armando Blount, Anez Cooper, Markel Bell, James Brockermeyer, Matt McCoy, Elija Lofton, Alex Bauman, Charmar Brown, Bryce Fitzgerald, Xavier Lucas, Ethan O’Connor, Popo Aguirre, Chase Smith, Dylan Day, Justin Scott, David Blay, Herbert Scroggins, Booker Pickett Jr, Samson Okunlola, SJ Alofaituli Jojo Trader, Josh Moore, Girard Pringle, Emory Williams, Dylan Joyce and Carter Davis.

I mentioned every player above because of the insane amount of work these kids have put in to get us to this point! These kids are special!
I’m gonna throw in cam ward, Xavier restropo, Elijah arroyo, Jalen rivers. Because even if they’re not a part of THIS run, they bled so this team can shine

this may sound corny... but they're all doing this with coursework piling up as well. My inner-student is freaking out.

Also shout out to Pringle, stood in the paint against a 6'4 NFL LB and was a speed bump protecting his QB and bounced right back up..

After another offseason he will be able to take that on but as a freshman he put it on the line..

He will learn he can’t sit back and accept that as a smaller back. That said, he did just enough to deflect that LB away from Beck which is all you can ask from a kid 50-60lbs under that blitzer.

He is like an old fashioned all-purpose fullback (when fullback were the featured guys) from the wishbone days adapted to modern football. He is huge for us man!

the dude is just a football player. Can't say he's ELITE at anything, but at the same time, he doesnt have a glaring weakness.

On top of that, he's a great kid, loves to compete and isnt scared of the moment.
Hes Elite at pass protection. See this thread.

Fletcher ran for 500 yds at 6.8 ypc in the CFP. He'll forever be a Hurricane legend for it.

But me, you, D$, coaches, fans, analysts don't care (and won't even remember) that Fletcher also did this:

Ohio St - Lost a fumble, dropped a pass
Ole Miss - Allowed a sack
Indiana - Allowed a sack, dropped a pass

The 2nd part of Merritt's quote is what matters - "at the end of the day, the name of the game is making explosive plays"

Against 3 top tier teams with how many snaps under his belt during that stretch? Everyone can make a bad play but it's the consistency of the good that overlooks that, how did they react after that. I get this has to do with Pringle but i would guess the coaches are not there yet with him in those moments yet.
