He was aware of all the **** going on at Mich St back in 2010 and did nothing. He’s going down. The Bama empire will immediately decline.

Yep, likely he is going to be forced out. He was reportedly made aware of THIRTY SEVEN cases of sexual assault at MSU. Hopefully we can get someone in there who isn't an SEC fan.

One time give us someone with no SEC ties. One ******* time (I know wishful thinking).

Wait, wait, hold the fvck up. So you're telling me we have this university that allowed a gymnastics teacher to assault over 100 girls (no way you could ever convince me no one else knew over a 20 year span) and now 37 sexual assaults basically covered up for years. WHERE THE FACK is the death penalty?

Okay, quick quiz. What would happen to Miami in the media and tabloids if that happened here?

Also, as a father it makes me sick for children young or in young adulthood to be treated with such disgraceful leadership.

Right niw, if I had to give odds, I’d say it won’t affect his tenure at the NCAA. I’ve seen this script play out before.

Now if a couple of typing pool secretaries accuse him of telling dirty jokes, he’ll be gone tomorrow.

But this, well, what does prior history tell us. There’ll be a furor for the next couple of days, an outside the lines report next week, tears will be shed, teeth will gnash, and the SEC sock puppet will remain in office. It’ll be all more less forgotten within a couple of weeks.

Sadly. I wish it wasn’t true. Hope I’m wrong.

If covering up for child diddlers doesn't result in death penalty, then a gymnastics teacher touching girls sure as **** isn't getting the death penalty. Here's the test: does this threaten the ncaa's business model? Pitino- yes. OSU free tattoos-yes. MSU /PSU no. NCAA only cares about stuff that affects its bottom line. Emmert will say it wasn't a NCAA issue so it wasn't his responsibility. I'm not a fan of the #metoo movement, but hopefully those gals cause a ruckus and force him to step down.

Not this time. USA gymnastics put this on blast. Wasaaaay too much heat and now if it’s true he was part of the problem, he’ll tarnish what the NCAA is supposed to stand for. If it’s true he had open knowledge of all of this and nothing was done, I think he’s out. Sexual Assault, Harrasment is under a totally different microscope then before.

You're kidding, right? Joe Paterno was taken down for something similar. If you think Mark Emmert is more untouchable than Joe Pa, you are dreaming.

I know we are suppose live in civilised society.but I'm getting tired of this crap.criminals violating kids then spending life in prison.and nothing being g done those who knew about it then instead of stopping it looked the other way.I say let's go old school on everyone invoked in these type of crimes.stripem of their clothes drag em through a cactus patch then throw em into a pool of sharks.

the 37 cases seem to be unrelated to the larry nassar case from everything I've read. I could be wrong and obviously its still a HUGE issue, but feel like that should be stated

No, you're absolutely correct.

"NCAA president Mark Emmert was specifically alerted in November 2010 — six months after he was hired as the organization's president — to 37 reports involving Michigan State athletes sexually assaulting women."

https://theathletic.com/223555/2018...ichigan-state-sexual-assault-reports-in-2010/

The Nassar stuff just started to shine a light on Mich St in general and now this stuff has popped up in that snowball. It's why Izzo and Dantonio are taking heat now too.

I know almost zero about Michigan state level politics but that may determine how this plays out and it certainly doesn't behoove them that they're not the clear big fish school/athletic program in that state.

Hey, let’s wait and see.

Like I said, I hope I’m wrong.

But the Emmert issue involves football and basketball and nothing about that horrific gymnastics stuff, as I read the article.

I would love nothing more than to see Mark Emmert be publicly humiliated for a decade plus of corruption at LSU and at the NCAA and be fired and have to account for his corruption.

But I’m not seeing it.

I hope I’m wrong, I’d love to be wrong.

I'm with you. Unless Dantonio and/or Izzo take the fall first then it's not likely it'll get us the scalp of an honorary SEC good ol' boy like Emmert- which is sad and infuriating.

That does make a difference actually. Would get more attention if it was part of the gymnastics thing.
