Yo
@LuCane you got access to the SkyCam feed? Just wondering your thoughts on this play. I know Mario said it was the right place to go with the ball, that's just him protecting his guy, I'd be surprised if he had any clue if that was correct or not 2 minutes after the game ended.
But I just don't get this one. We're on the right hash, at the snap the field safety drops to cover the left half...Marion isn't even looking because I don't think he thinks in a million years the ball would come to him. Why would it? (I'm not absolving Marion, I've always been taught you run every single route like you're the primary read, no matter what. He HAS TO look for the **** football). It's an insanely difficult throw, and he's essentially bracketed. If Beck throws a perfect ball, it actually is a TD, because Marion does get into the hole, but that's a high-level NFL throw. Beck simply doesn't have that in the ****nal, he hasn't made that throw once all year. It's a little switch concept with Mali and Bauman, with CJ clearing out on the perimeter. He actually had Bauman from what I can see, but he looks middle to hold the safety, and then looks directly left and fires it. I think he had his mind made up from the snap he was going to take that shot, which is insane to me given the circumstances.
Have you seen the all-22 angle?
