MARIO WAS ANOTHER LAZY HIRE

We just can’t seem to get it right. We once enjoyed a long string of dynamic and innovative head coaches. It’s been a very long string of bad coaches lately with Mario being the latest. Who is to say that we get it right if Mario is out.

We always make the lazy hire since Coker to present. Mario was a lazy hire. He was hired because of his recruiting value and nothing more. We failed to consider other factors and intangibles. We failed to do good research on the person. Mario has had the problems we all see now in all of his stops as a head coach, but we only focused on recruiting and made the lazy hire. The recruits will come if you can coach especially at Miami.

He was a lazy hire because we already knew him and didn't really interview anybody.

But bringing him in did point to a new era and commitment to football. Taking him from another rich power program was new and the obvious commitment of resources is new.

But he wasn't a creative/outside the box hire as we saw with our other National title coaches.

Maybe Brian Kelly at LSU? Hugh Freeze at Auburn? Maybe Deoin at Colorado?

Outside of Right he was the only one of our last 5 hires to be a P5 coach and win a conference. I don't know what else you wanted. The only other option that was good was Lane and he looks like a better hire at this point but we were told it would not have happened here in Miami so what else were you going to do?

He was a good hire. I had three major concerns re Mario:
1- His game day coaching woes at Oregon (kneel down, losing to unranked teams)
2- Aaron Feld and the 'injury' bug // Mario quoting Saban's 4th quarter prog. from 2012 vs 2020
3- His post-Herbert (who he inherited from Helfrich/Taggart) QB issues at Oregon

I think he's 3/3 here on proving me right.

Not many coaches out there that are flawless.
 
Rhett Lashlee embarrassed Miami without nearly the talent-plus he had several starters out with injuries-

Manny Diaz has a better record in the ACC-That Duke QB is a baller-We lose to Duke oh boy-

Hopefully we beat Syracuse first-

NC St with CJ will be a problem-

Pitt at Pitt with that freshman QB and former Miramar dynamo Desmond Reid who will cause more problems than Issac Brown.

Rhett didn't win this game man. Scored 20 points and bailed by the Zebras. Is it cool he beat Miami to those fans sure but he didn't coach in anyway that shows he embarrassed Miami. Miami embarrassed Miami. He just lost to Wake last week and only scored 12 points. Do you think he has more talent than Wake Forest? I would say so.

Rhett and Manny have both lost 3 games so far. Not a good example.
 
How anyone can watch this team underperform week after week and still support Mario is mind-blowing. This guy has no business being he HC at a P4 school, he just doesn't have it. We just lost to SMU which is by no means a good team, they lost to Wake last week. I'm angry that Mario and this staff have wasted this talented roster.

Frankly, I mad as **** at myself for falling for this BS again, thinking this year will be different, I'm pathetic.
