Mario on The Amigo Show taking shots

He wont be able to do here what he can do there...there all about trying there best to win inside and out. For here the leadership from BOT AD to HC is all fuqed up.
I wouldnt be surprised when we call him to extend an offer in the future he will say no and stay at Oregon. I bet he stays put 100
Its all about his staff hires because Mario is a corch's corch if I ever saw one. But look, Ed O is balling at LSU, so... it just depends on the staff hires. He brings Mirabal with him, gets Yost for OC, Seider & Trooper, bro... we gonna recruit like it nineteen ninety-nine, lol.

Oregon ranked 11 th and leading the Pac 12

That's what I don't get about some people on here. The dude is CURRENTLY #11 RIGHT NOW, TODAY and on his way to a Pac-12 Championship (unless Utah has something to say about it) and people what to bring up FIU.

mario has alot of contacts though.

You ppl love reading into every little thing. Why the **** would Mario care enough about our downtrodden program to take shots at it?

not necessarily a shot at the program. Why burn bridges you may have to cross again? Definitely a shot at our corch though and he is recruiting against him.

I agree. Will all HCs, its always about the assistants & coordinators. It tells you just how serious the team is gonna be. Assemble a great staff and youre gonna win games and recruit. And if you dont win enough, at least you stock the cupboard for the next guy.

I dont know. I mean, if I were HC of Oregon, I would not leave for Miami, but I dont like living in Miami... he might... and a dream is a dream... its hard to say. But, if he actually assembled a staff like
HC: Mario
OC: Yost
OL: Mirabal
RB: Seider
WR: Trooper
TE: Hartley
with a quality defensive staff... he's gonna win and recruit a lot in Miami. Certainly enough to keep the admin happy.

I feel like I did when Golden was coach. Hate watched games and dreamt of coaching change possibilities. I don’t like Mario as a game day coach, but the staff you listed above is light years better that what we have.

Thats what I'm saying. Butch wasnt the best game day coach, but he had good assistants and developed & recruited talent. Even Coker won a title with those dogs. Mario can be a corch when he's got a quality spread OC, two 5* RBs, a dominant OL, five 4* WRs and a redshirt Junior QB, plus a terrorizing D that keeps you in every game.

If Miami can keep kids home they win.....if they get a star studded cast that kids know and hs coaches trust they can do some things.

Lol looking at that list i just smh at Manny....dude hired str8 bums across the board. Enos is the only name and non of these guys recruit man

I don’t disagree. I also have zero expectation that Manny will be fired any time soon.

It’s possible. He didn’t do well at FIU but seems to be better in Oregon. We’ll see when Herbert leaves. That said he’s been great on the recruiting trail, put together the best oline group in college football, and hired a real solid staff with great young D coordinator.

Are you guys really this dumb???? Saying **** like "he didn't do well at FIU." He took over a winless team and was their second coach in program history,,,,a program that he took to their first bowl game ever after winning their first conference title that season.

Thats my point. He's an okay DC that surrounded himself with scrubs and an OC that doesnt fit philosophically. He & the admin needed to understand he couldnt reach, that Miami was on a knifes edge, that the bottom could fall out very easily or that he could put a bedrock of development and recruiting under him. But this is why Manny was a poor choice, he has no contacts.
