Mario just showed you what he thinks of TVD…..and he’s right

man, in the postgame presser mario basically went out of his way to say that he would've liked to go for the win at the end of regulation but TVD was having such a bad day that he didn't want to risk it and preferred to rely on the running game in OT. didn't say it in those exact words but it was essentially the message. we all knew it of course, but for him to bring it up unprompted...whew that's rough lol

Hmmm…I wonder why no other QB except Herbert has ever looked good under a Mario Cristobal run regime.

TVD is way better than what we have seen the last couple of games from him.

Mario is a destroyer of QB’s.

…and still the majority of you wonder why no top flight QB’s want to play for him.
Mario doesn't have anything to do with this. It is a Lashlee, Gattis, Dawson thing. TVD has all the physical gifts to perform. He doesn't have it mentally. This is his ceiling. This is as good as TVD is going to play. I say keep him in the rest of the year. Just rely on the run game when possible. Hès not getting drafted, so let him move on for his senior year. Kind of a "start anew" kind of thing.

It was 27 seconds left on our own 20, idc who the qb is u knee and go to OT..But since the qb was *** u absolutely take a knee
With 3 TO's you don't even try??? 2 big runs and you're in field goal range.... It's worth a shot.... I get protecting the ball but you gotta play..... Had we lost in OT would taking the knee with that time left still be " the right thing" to do???

2 big runs? We on our 20, those runs would have to be 25 yards plus, u can count on your fingers how many 25 plus yard runs we have this year . Also if u run and possibly fumble u give virginia the ball in fg range.

And no I would not have been mad at the decision if we lost, but vs clemson with 1:30 left at our 40? Yea I didn’t agree with that one, but from our 20 and only 27 seconds? Absolutely the right decision to go to OT regardless of qb imo but adding the qb being terrible its not even a debate.

I hear ya... I just thought with 3 TO's it was worth a shot to try something....

Ummm….OP, he did the exact same thing with the other quarterback last week. Maybe he would have given Jacurri Brown a chance to win the game?

Clear as day the team's effort was much higher with Emory then it was TVD. I think the locker room has about packed it in on TVD.
That's what people don't understand. I knew exactly how it would be if he was the starter. This could've been a good game to get Emory in a nice rhythm before we hit the road.

Please educate me how Mario is killing TVD. His picks last night, including the one that VA dropped, were all while he had a completely clean pocket and no rush at all. So how is that on Mario? Any average QB would have eaten VA alive last night.

Didn’t you know that if you aren’t sending out four decoy routes with only one primary wrs for the qb to throw to out of a wide spread uptempo offense then it’s Mario ball. The reality is even if we are running a wing t if you are going to give a fourth year qb a clean pocket and wide open receivers but he isn’t going to see them then that’s a qb problem and not a scheme problem. If we have to run a one read offense to be successful you might as well do it with the young guys.

It’s similar to how people were blaming Elliot for what happened to Armstrong yet he seems to be doing just fine without Armstrong while Armstrong is on the bench at NCST. Your qb can not keep giving the ball away multiple times a game injured or not it’s inexcusable.

Manny would have benched TVD 🤷🏾‍♂️

F TVD & Mother F Mario too.
It's not pretty but we are 6-2 so just shut up already about Mario you look like a clown. We are all clamoring for Emory but he didn't look much better on his first start so I don't know how much of an upgrade he is over TVD at the moment. I think It's time for Emory too but expecting anything more than a game manager out of Emory right now is silly.

I always question people who throw his FIU record in there as a slight - he literally started their football programme, of course they were going to lose a ****load of games.
Yep. When people throw that FIU record in I instantly know their agenda. The school was going 0-12 every year and the program was broke. Also brand new. Guys were changing in closets lol. Yet he took them from that to 8-5 and a bowl game. In real time people were blown away by what he did. And I’m not the biggest Mario guy, that’s just the truth. What he did there was actually impressive.
