If Mario ain't the guy the the powers that be NEED to continue the investment into the football program he forced them to make, for the next guys(and the programs) sake.
YEP the amount of resources will solely determine any future coaches success here.. Idgaf how much of a coaching savant you are, teams who compete for national titles spend BIG..there's no reverting bck to what were doing pre CristobalAssuming resources stay on par…. He is the guy before the guy.
His ceiling is mark richt, James Franklin, etc.
Unfortunately his floor is significantly lower than those guys mentioned above. And because of this I would not bet on him being as successful as the caliber of coach mentioned above
Depends on the criteria you are using for success. He won't win a title, but he can maybe win the ACC. Idk that many people want more than that. Either way he has at least 3 more years. As @DMoney said, everyone knows Miami’s season is high stakes, can they finally take the leap? But for Mario Cristobal, it’s even bigger. This is the most pivotal campaign of his coaching career.
This year will answer the question that has plagued him his whole coaching career: is he "The Guy," or just the foundation builder who peaks early and never turns the corner? Is he the long-term answer, or simply the stepping stone who makes the job more enticing for the next guy? We’re about to find out.
Holy ****....I'm definitely using this in a text today with some high school buddies.
Hard for some on the board to understand, so thank you. Mario is the guy. Repeat: Mario is the guy. Or he better be the guy. The money and resources behind him is unparalleled in program history. If he doesn't work out, we're screwed. There's not going to be a guy after this. Cristobal has a few years left before anyone at Miami would be willing to fire him and by then conference realignment will be cemented. If Miami doesn't perform over the next few years they're going to be left out of whatever happens between the SEC and BIG10.
I don't think Miami fans know how important it is for Mario to work out here, whether you like him or not.
Well brah, I for one, want more than that...Depends on the criteria you are using for success. He won't win a title, but he can maybe win the ACC. Idk that many people want more than that. Either way he has at least 3 more years.
He is the HC of a program that will never win another title and will never be fired but will do good enough for many years.

What if, and hear me out...Can I wait and see which fork we take before making a decision?
All of our failures have been related to high estrogen levels of fans. We need more tuff and fizical porsts. Can someone supply the board with some bathtub test or let me know where to get some?Gaddam you sissy mfers! Rebuilds take mfn time! Let's not ruin his confidence! As fans we have to be okay with some failure ya sumbiches! Let Mario cook ffs!
nystateofmind?Definitely the guy behind the guy
