Mario Has Failed This Program

It became apparent to me weeks ago that there’s a very good chance that he whiffed on a bunch of those OC’s. They weren’t able to “being their guys” and maybe a number of them didn’t want to be forced to run a regressive offense.
I tend to agree with this due to the fact that when Mario was first hired...there was a ton of momentum with not just Mario himself but the resources that were being pledged and promised into the program.

I think we can confidently say at this point that Mario has an issue, dating back to Oregon, of not being able to identify, woo, and retain a quality offensive staff.

What this all means is that Rad HAS to get involved with the search for Gattis' replacement. Mario simply can't be trusted to make that hire.

And if he doesn’t, at what point do we see Jedi flush out the “disease”?

I hope it's true he talked to Candle but it was a non-starter because Candle wanted to bring his staff. Now maybe Cristobal will finally realize he is f#cking atrocious at picking a staff and will let the next OC hire everyone.

I am hopeful that Mirabal is all he keeps and then he let’s a new OC pick the rest including any they may want to retain.

Venerables vs Texas was worse. But this was REALLY bad.
Point taken but I wasn't taking about a single game performance. I was speaking overall. He is the worst game day coach I have ever seen. At least at Miami. Randy was much better as was Al Golden and Manny Diaz. People used to say Coker was a bad game day coach but he was miles better than Cristobal. I'm also done with the Butch Davis comparisons. Butch was not a very good game day coach at first but he improved significantly especially towards the end of his tenure. Still Butch at his worst was much better than the abortion I have witnessed this year. Mario isn't a bad game day coach. He is ****** atrocious!!! It makes no sense how someone could have played the game and coached it for as long as he has and be so absolutely horrendous at it. The guy actually comes across like he just learned the game last week he is so wretched. Mario literally has no feel or insight into the game whatsoever. It's downright bizarre.

You mean to tell me Mario's patented 8 hour interview process combined with coordinators not being able to hire their own guys was a turn off? Well i for one am shocked, shocked i tell ya

Mario came with a formula to turn things around but yet has not gained the support of the team to achieve his goal.

It’s been a coaching abomination.

I can’t think of a single player who’s gotten better from last year or a single play where they’ve been put in an advantageous position scheme wise.
Wait wait, wait…. what about all them flea flickers? That was an advantageous position scheme wise… TWICE …was it not? Gah**** Gattass is soooo fuccin bad! What’s the over/under for TDs the remainder of the season? Whatever the **** it is, take the under!

No...this caveman ooooooga boooooga POS hired all the staph 1st. Candle wanted to bring his own guys in...Caveman said no...oooooga booooga me hire staph 1st you come 2nd and tell me how rock stick equall fire!

As someone who is really rooting for him....it's getting harder and harder to defend Mario the HC.

We can already say Mario the CEO has done a horrible job of surrounding himself with a good coaching staff, which is absolutely an ability.
This is hide sight. Didn’t we all praise Mario including the football world for assembling a great staff that was the best in ACC? It’s not going well now, we all have amnesia.

He did well at Oregon. Did he all of a sudden forget how to coach? I will give him 2 more years to right the ship. Remember, next year will be another learning curve for our players with a new OC and May be new DC too.

This **** looks worse every week. I didn't even think it was possible in this era of offense to go two full games in a row without scoring a ******* touchdown. This team beat the ACC champion at their place last year. And this is some of the most abysmal football I have ever seen played. The staff is stealing money right now.

I could take this IF we had not seen it over and over and over. Gotta think school donations will be affected by this business. To me the administration did exactly as asked…pay for big time coaches. They did that. Now that money seems squandered. Here’s the ask….

If we are 10-2 next year, was this year worth it?
