Mario has “Institutional Armor”

Is this true? I mean maybe. But I’ve been hearing rumblings how people aren’t particularly interested in some of these “big time” openings like LSU or Penn State. LSU is like “make the CFP every year or you’re fired and we’ll do it in year 2 if we have to” and a lot of coaches don’t want that kind of pressure and I don’t blame them. The LSU job also requires a certain type of coach and Brian Kelly was absolutely not it. Ed Orgeron was. I think their mistake was canning him but I’m sure a crazed LSU fan will tell me why he had to be fired 20 months after winning a National Championship and fielding one of the best teams in modern CFB history. If you think our fanbase is unreasonable, oh boy, we’re nothing compared to the folks in Baton Rouge. Apparently the Governor of Louisiana is also involved with the coaching search and program. Seems like an absolute mess with more hands in the pot than what a good coach might want to deal with.

Then there’s Penn State who’s just a weird program I don’t understand despite growing up not too far from Happy Valley. Don’t get their fanbase. Not sure what their brand of football is. Some folks here have said they’re not as rich in money and resources as one would think but that’s not official. Rumors are Manny Diaz is a candidate but I don’t know if he’d be a good fit for a program that boring. The guy who invented the turnover chain being the face of a program that doesn’t allow names on the back of uniforms. Nah, I just don’t see it sorry.

Then that’s 100% a problem and I’m not trying to excuse the loss, but from a big picture perspective it’s peanuts compared to what’s going on out there.
It would be hilarious if they ended up 10-2 and in the CFP, I know, I know…I’m just saying.

10-2 is still on the table. Mario is still a corch that can’t get out of his own way. Need one of the bros to stop being enablers and have tough conversations with him.

They might be the worst team in the ACC and are on their 3rd QB I believe. We should win by 40. And we should want to kick their asses after what happened last year..

This reflective of the coach and 10-2 and Pop Tarts bowl appearance is disgusting! 1 losing season, no ACC titles, No playoff apearances, emotional, Nah realistic!

Maybe only because the conference those teams are in. If we are talking about history. Miami has more titles than every school who had an opening now. The ACC really holds us back in a lot of ways. A lot of big time recruits want to play in the SEC or Big 10 also. I hate that we are stuck in this **** conference

On3? What kind of maniac uses On3???

The 247Composite, which non maniacs use, shows Miami last finished top 10 in 2024. Finished #14 in 2025 and is currently outside the top 10.

Manny, Al, Mark, Onion and Clappy all finished with classes on par with what Mario had been delivering.

You're correct. The fans as saboteurs trope is greatly exaggerated.

The HC isn't going anywhere. We need to continue to upgrade the staff and NIL.
