Could lose out and go 4-8 next season. He’d be here for 2027, lol.

But the guy sucks. All the rah rah’ing after Stanford was expected, because we have a lot of clowns on this board. I’ve been out since Syracuse last season personally, but nothing else needs to be said/done. Idc about recruiting or any of that, why should I? We can’t win with this roster so what does it matter? Dude’s a bum. I hope some of ya’ll see it now.
Posted this back in January after a would you move on from Cristobal poll…

“I voted yes. I’d happily eat my words if the ship is turned around…

Yes, it takes time for guys to win the championship, which I don’t believe is what we’re all searching for at this point. I believe most fans want a consistent solid, disciplined, and prepared team week in week out.

My question is, what about what MC has done is trending up? Even with a loaded roster, it’s going to be a struggle to win the conference because some way some how, we will definitely be out coached, out schemed, and out played at LEAST three times a season by a lesser opponent. We have yet to field a complete team or coaching staff.

Mario isn’t a first time head coach. If you truly understand coaching and philosophies you know what your eyes tell you about this program…What is our philosophy and identity? What do we do well as a team year in year out? What are we known for?

22-16 for $8 Mil is a steal for somebody and it ain’t UM…”

As you can see, same song and dance…IJS

Maybe, but Mendoza is still handing it off on 3rd and 3 and 4th and 1 inside zone or under center with condensed formations.

Mendoza is throwing bubble screens into outnumbered bunch sets just to force feed players the ball.

The difference is Cig plays to murder teams by 40 from the get-go.
I agree with you, Mendoza would still be running the plays just as Beck has. Maybe we have less interceptions in that stat category. It’s mind boggling to watch our offense do what it did in the beginning of the season to now, we dominated those teams and everyone of the media pundits said we dominated. There is no keeping the foot on the gas pedal and blowing teams out, it’s oh well just cruise along and win how we can while letting teams come back and the end result is a close game, more so than it shouldn’t have been.

What exactly did our offense do? Sure we blew USF out. ND had the ball in hand to win. UF had the ball in the 4th Q and could have taken the lead. FSU was an onside kick from having a chance to win. Granted it all went our way but that doesn’t sound like dominating.

I said the following in January and I stand by it: “We lost to teams we shouldn’t have, which is a Mario constant. He is who he has always been: a mediocre coach who recruits well. NIL has eroded his recruiting advantage and so we are left with a mediocre coach with a mediocre overall football operations staff.

Maybe this roster is better than I think and we win the ACC. That’s a start. But do we have the details down for building on that — put another way, is our overall football operation as it stands good enough to consistently run with the big boys. I have my doubts

The roster is not good enough to overcome him. And that’s with 2 or 3 real difference makers.

Wait till I heat up the position group post

Since last night I went back and read on Mario and his time at Oregon and is just like it's here now.He refused to kneel at end of close games, the fans complain of boring football even in wins.Ranked #3 he lost to Stanford who only won 2 games that year. There's no hope with this guy.

I have my saturdays back. I’m not sitting around planning my day around this team. Said I would stop after last season but got sucked back in. Most uninspired team I’ve ever watched. This passive as coaching needs to get the eff away from this program. Never thought I would say this but “Bring me Kiffin”. And mf’ing coach that wanna put mf’ers in the dirt.
Exactly what I told my wife. When Beck threw that INT in OT I immediately turned the TV off and went outside and took my massive and beautiful UM flag down. I still woke up 230am ****ed off. I’m done.

This loss is on Cristobal. Also wonder what the Dawson argument was about
Dawson was ****ed that Brown ran left on the play when it was apparently set up blocking wise to go to the right side of the line ... where a hole was open for either a 1st down or even a TD.

He's the coach before the coach. These losses don't even effect me anymore lol. I know who he is. Hopefully he gets to 9-10 wins this year and next, Syracuse is Stanford terrible.

The next guy is going to have a much better roster to take over with that will be ready to win now without a rebuild and great resources, so just gotta wait it. The **** else am I suppose to do shrug

Not making a long post. Obviously a lot of people have been out for a while now, but this loss should be a pretty resounding one.

4 Years, endless money at his disposal compared to predecessors.

0 ACCCG Appearances
0 CFP Appearances

Another loss as a double-digit favorite (opener).

12-10 against unranked opponents. 14-14 in conference play.

Undisciplined behavior, continuously wilting against inferior competition in the back end of the season.

He’s not getting fired now or next year. But the stove is on, that much is for **** sure. Vent away, gents. This + the refs is infuriating (even I’m now f the ACC refs).

We deserve better. Hopefully some of you see the reality now.
I’ve said he’s not going anywhere because I’d feel he will get another 3 years minimum.

You have guys that cover this team lowering the expectations every week from (we still get into the playoffs - after Louisville game) to now (it’s important to win at least 10 games - after SMU). It’s ******* pathetic.

Since he’s not going anywhere, the only thing that can happen while still getting these very good recruiting classes is for Mario to step back, hire a young stud OC (like he did with Heatherman) and take the Greg Schiano approach to step back in game day.

Will this happen? NOPE!!!!

Mario can’t help himself. This is as easy as taking a knee vs GT and he won’t do it. He can’t help himself for him and Mirabal to force their running game on the OC (it was evident when they didn’t get a 4th and 1 when Dawson went after Mario as it was likely over forcing the Rugby Scrum on 4th & 1 and bunching everyone up in the box).

They have no feel for the game. You have Fletcher dominating in the series they threw the TD to the TE and in the next offensive series, they take out the dominant Fletcher to force feed Lyle. By the time they came back to Fletcher in the following series, he starts dominating again and then gets hurt.

So until Mario has a come to Jesus inflection point on “Letting Go” this ship will always be stuck in 8-9 win purgatory.

Spot on sir.

My lukewarm title is really tongue in cheek, because if this was Ohio State, LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Texas, Penn State, Florida, or any of those top tier jobs, Mario Cristobal would either be on a public hot seat, or fired.

Step one would be admitting defeat instead of hoping and praying something changes…except we all know deep down, nothing will. We’re stuck in purgatory for another 2/3 years, unless we do something drastic like miss a bowl in ‘26.

I’ll retract my dominating point, guess what I mean is when we are ahead in a game with a comfortable lead, our offense sputters. All I’m saying is the offense goes into a shell when we go up by 14, it’s apparent they do that, that gives teams the chance to hang around. “Play with your food” has been mentioned so many times on this board and it finally has come back to bite us in the ***, there is no urgency to keep the foot on the neck or gas pedal. ****, during the September month all we heard from the media was “Miami is back” “Miami is the most complete team”.

14-14 in the ACC. Losses to Middle Tennessee State (I was there, at noon, hot as balls. Most miserable game I’ve ever been to).

Everything about the game day operations is abysmal.

I was just thinking about that play with Lightfoot and the late hit. A timeout was called by Mario on that 4th & 8. He said he called it because he wanted to see what the offense was coming out in formation wise. Do you think Heatherman needed a timeout there? No!!!! That was stupid Mario. To compound the error in judgement, because he’s so unsure of himself, he called the timeout super late. He could have called it earlier instead of treating it like a game winning FG situation. So he put his players in a situation to make that mistake.

The guy is a ******* idiot!!!

Looking back on the 2021 decision. People finally coming to the realization that Miami made the wrong hire when they could have had Lane. The detractors said Lane can't recruit but didn't have the foresight to realize this is a new era and NIL has changed the system. NIL has leveled the playing field and "recruiters" are devalued. The "Lane Train" crew realized that in this new era the Mario types (recruiter with no x/o acumen) will be less effective unless they hire good coordinaters AND let the coordinators implement their scheme. Lane would have brought the x/o's and he is doing more with less unlike the current regime. Sure the Columbus crew wouldn't have been all in at first but there are other boosters and people love to be associated with winners. Fast forward Lane is at the top of everyone's list and Mario is ... well... He's Mario.

I think the “Ron Zook to Urban Meyer” outcome was more likely 10 years ago. These days a roster can get picked apart/disintegrated in a single offseason with the portal and NIL.

When that day comes (and it absolutely will), There’s no guarantee that the next coach walks into a great situation. At a minimum it Will take some major effort and determination on our NIL collective and admin to hold down the fort so that Mario’s successor inherits something they can really work with.

What good is a new oc if he's forced to run Mario's offense.
That needs to change… force Mario to hire a new OC and give him full control to run his own offense/offensive philosophy.

Go find a Liam Coen type OC from McVay’s coaching tree.

Lukewarm? Icecold. Miami will never fire this dude.

Fire him and they are pulling the financial support.
No way… Mario is ok… need to leave the past and live in the future..run between the tackles is over! Statue QB is over…. Deron Colman lets go! Defenses need to fear the QB…SMU dude out played Beck by FAAAAARRRR.. ANd his arm is obviously shot
