Absolutely. It’s kinda funny though- My mom is an elderly Cuban lady and has been a fan of UM for many decades.

I was just complaining that Beck blew yet another game with a pick. She replied that I shouldnt be too harsh and to remember these are just college kids and playing for free. I told her that Beck got 4 million dollars to play for Miami. She responded “Oh! Nevermind. You can criticize him.”

That would be worse case scenario for us fans.I would think at some point recruiting takes a hit,we miss on a portal QB and have a couple 7-6,8-5 type seasons and 1/2 empty stadium for most games.

Nah I'm just a purist, and even this year with a very good team, I didn't think we were winning it all. Sweeping those 3 hated rivals in September has to mean something.

I'm surprised she didn't start cussing and saying "I can throw picks for four million dollars a year." Cuban ladies are spicy ladies. :D

Nobody is saying he's getting fired this year or after next season,maybe not even after 27 but the honeymoon is over,majority of the fan base doesn't believe in him,national media is all over his failure and will only intensify with every upset loss.Stadium will be empty next 2 games and ticket sales will go down next year.It's the start of the end,long ending but the end for the fraud.

I don't think he goes anywhere during his contract, if they are better year 7 and 8 probably gets an extension to keep him,

The center and QB are inferior to what we had last year.
 
They will never fire Mario. But make no mistake, his coaching tenure has been an abysmal failure on par with that of Manny or Mark or Al or Randy. Maybe worse considering Mario has had significantly more resources, support and talent. To make matters worse, he’s an egomaniac who is unable to see his own shortcomings as a coach even the the rest of the world can see it clear as day. Buckle up, there’s a long way to go on this journey and it’s not likely to change or improve.

That's more of a board myth that people built in order to cement the narrative that Mario is the only Coach that we can ever have at Miami.

But the idea they're going to stop pouring money into the program if it's not Saint Cristobal while simultaneously losing every season & not making the playoffs is a misnomer.

I hope you’re right but this is the assumption because after almost 20 years of bad hires and poor funding they magically found people who want to spend when they made up their mind to not do a real coaching search again and hired another Miami guy in mario after the last 4 miami guys didn’t work
