In this case, the direct snap through the center's legs was something that began with the old single wing formation concepts, (which now are seen in the "wildcat")
The play is also part of south florida lore, as it was used by the pop warner team in Miami Shores in the 1970's
either way, it's a fun play to watch and very clever!
