Mario cast a pretty wide net for OC

You mean by NOT hiring this guy?

I hope Mario has had a Saban type epiphany regarding adopting a "modern"" offense. I'll believe it when I see it.
NOT hiring him wasn't the point. My point was at least he seems to be looking outside his supposed comfort zone. I agree that seeing is believing but there are indications he's willing to adapt.

hall of fame game missed the point GIF

He can coach WR too and makes **** money. If they can align it with Dawson he could be WRC/PGC.

For those that missed this earlier, @JayCane20 pointed out that the analytic sites were saying Taylor is the next star OC in the queue. I thought of this statement when I saw Feldman's tweet earlier this morning.

Lots of these analytics sites are coming on and are typically spot on. Matrix is a good one. I know he's advocated for Christian Taylor as an OC and there's another guy I follow that does the same thing and has him as the next star OC as well.

Not sure, but Taylor has been hanging around the FCS and analyst at a P5 could be one way to get into the P5 OC conversation. Of course, if he keeps putting up numbers at W&M then some G5 or low level P5 will snatch him up.

I'm just looking for ways for my Hurricanes to get a guy into the organization in anyway possible. As I've mentioned before, he's the goods and a good dude.

It was a rhetorical question. I doubt somebody that’s considered to be “hot“ like him, even if he is at a William and Mary, would settle for an analyst position at most any P5, maybe at Bama, but nowhere else. My guess is to get him out you have to at least make him a position coach. And more likely, he would want an OC position at either a top G5 school, or a P5 school. I’m just saying this based on the way he is being spoken about by others.

There’s another guy I follow and talk to that does similar analysis and came to the same conclusion of a “rising star” type. He’s not as public about it though.

Mario uses Matrix Analytical for advice. High Freeze essentially took their advice for half of his staff at auburn. Lots of P5 are starting to follow that trend

Should of hired him as RB coach

And the dude who was over center didn’t even attempt to sell a fake lol

As I mentioned in a previous post, there is nothing new in football. Show me a play or a scheme or a concept, and I will give you the history or where it came from: https://www.canesinsight.com/thread...-down-new-dc-lance-guidry.183213/post-6436008

In this case, the direct snap through the center's legs was something that began with the old single wing formation concepts, (which now are seen in the "wildcat")

The play is also part of south florida lore, as it was used by the pop warner team in Miami Shores in the 1970's

either way, it's a fun play to watch and very clever!

I don’t think that narrative can be dispelled until he actually runs an offense that is not predicated mainly on the run game.

So far that has not happened in any of his years at a HC anywhere.

How many times do you people have to spew this dumbass ****? It's mind-numbing.

How many times did UGA throw the ball last year? How many times did Ohio State? Michigan? Mr. Air Raid himself at TCU???

What is this fascination with thinking the only way you can be a good football team is to throw the ball 60 times a game? When did this dumbassery start? I really don't understand it. Nobody is capable of putting any actual thought into what you see on Saturday? Or I guess you don't actually watch the games? I'm truly baffled.

Here, I'll help you and everyone else out:

TCU's Max Duggan, the dude running Sonny Dykes' wide-open offense, with the magical run this year where every week was a shootout, blah blah blah, averaged 27.9 passes per game last year. That was good for 69th most in the country. TCU threw the football 419 times last season. They ran the football 566 times.

And it wasn't because all the games were blowouts. They played a fantastic game vs Kansas St in the regular season, where they were LOSING at home at the half by a score of 28-17. They won the game 38-28. In that game, they ran the football FIFTY-SIX TIMES, and Duggan threw it 26 times.

Let's peek at some of the other schools:

CJ Stroud threw it 29.9 times per game. 55th most in America. In the 5 games vs FBS competition that he actually started and finished, Tyler ******* VanDyke averaged 41 passes per game. Miami threw it more than Ohio State!! And you dummies sit here all ******* day and say "bro style, Mario only runs the ball, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, wah wah wahhhh". Stop being braindead and actually think about what you're seeing. Stetson Bennett didn't average 30 passes a game. Neither did JJ McCarthy. Neither did the kid at Penn State, who won a Rose Bowl.

Enough with this stupid ***, repetitive nonsense you guys **** out of your mouths here every single day.

I wonder where Gattis would rank on one these analytical sites.
