Mario called out the team

Well statisctially the defense is much better in 2022 than 2021. Not saying it's elite, but better at sacks, yards per game, and tackling. Last years defense was pathetic.

The offense in red zone is much much worse.

Yards per game is actually fairly similar, they just can't score.

I would say special teams is better this year too.

But team creates a new way to lose.

Texas A&M red zone offense was pathetic, and the muffed punt.

MTSU early turnovers by TVD then explosive plays allowed on back end.

UNC early coverage bust then late turnovers by Rooster and TVD's rushed INT.

Duke turnovers turnovers turnovers.
I need to look at advance stats. Defense is likely better on many metrics because the offense takes forever on drives and smokes the time of possession. But our friend zone offense doesn’t score.

This is now the Official transfer portal watch party.

At this point, I can only think of a handful of players that would make me care.

Diaz was such an awful coach that he got fired in his third season. Yet he was still able to win 7 games with this roster - despite losing his star QB early last season. And our new 80 million dollar coach may not even win 5 games against a cupcake schedule. I don't think the "bad/soft players" argument exonerates Cristobal as much as some think it does.
Rhett Lashley’s scheme tailored to TVD were what got us to 7 wins.

Manny had several things going against him overall
- Recruiting 3 cornerbacks in 3 seasons
- Recruiting 3 blue chip linebackers in seven seasons
- Tremendous failure at OL recruiting going back to Richt
- Tackling theory that led us to be amongst the worst tackling defenses in the country in 2021

Structurally, Manny left his replacement with even worse problems than Coker left Shannon in 2007. A Rhett-like scheme would have helped Van Dyke, but absent different players the OL is simply what it is regardless of who is coaching.

Yeah they were blitzing! If they continue to bring 6-7 guys and we only block with 5 of course they will have free rushers!!! It’s on the coaches to keep a TE or RB to help block it! Instead we just kept blocking it with 5 lmao!! You block it from the inside out! That’s absolutely on the coaches!!
The Duke defense figured it out and adjusted. That’s good coaching. And that’s why I’m not blaming TVD (who they actually injured) and Garcia.

Duck fans are extremely happy you hired Mario... He can recruit, but GameDay is not his forte. We upgraded big-time with Dan Lanning

Bleacher report has it up.

We failed again, what should be do? I call BS, if they see a player dogging it why is he still on the field, let alone the team? This goes back to the coaching staff. Put a boot in their *** and next man up. Especially now, there is nothing to lose, especially pride, but you can scapegoat it if you start booting players. If not, it is just another soundbite in the long like of soundbites from our coaches. Should we expect noise, clouds, or pillars next? You're the man Mario, make some freaking changes. Imagine getting your *** handed to you by MTSU and Duke, and this is all you have.
