I doubted his abilities on Saturday but the recruiting would always be there.

Now that he has success to point to, in addition to his psycho recruiting intensity, there's no stopping this guy.

When he made FIU respectable in football I knew he was him. I already knew he would bring that intensity & recruiting especially to his alma mater. I literally thanked the heavens when he chose to come here cuz we were on the verge of permanent football purgatory....

Yes Mario did. Making the NC game last year after going on a great run at end of season definitely changed the trajectory of the program. Recruiting has gone through the roof now. Mario deserves a lot of credit. Also the hire of Hetherman was a great decision, also jason Taylor too.

A lot of it has to do with now having a level playing field to pay players. Patrick Johnson (Peterson) would have been a Cane had it not been for LSU giving a ridiculous package to him and his family.

Unpopular opinion, but Coach K did it for 40 years. Every year there was at least 3 teams willing to make him HC and part owner and he turned them down each time.
