Marcus Lemonis firing some shots

I am partial to the split option. For the low to moderate attendance games like a regular season tilt with Duke, play in the new stadium. For the high attendance games like the marquee non conference opponents or FSU, then play at Hard Rock. 5 or 6 home games in the new stadium, 2 or 3 games at Hard Rock.

Build a $1 billion stadium to play only four games?

And I’ve been stuck on 826 many times just on regular Saturday traffic. Obviously it’s not as bad as a work day, but it’s still bad

Just a question for Saturday traffic, is that "accident-related" or "volume-related"? Reason I was asking is to figure out whether police assistance would help to keep the traffic moving (I am also generally interested in how things will work for Inter Miami matches, as I would go to a few once that stadium is built).

Mostly just regular traffic, if it was an accident it would be a parking lot.

I don’t know what Miami matches you’re talking about but there’s no plans to build a stadium anywhere that I know of. Maybe I missed something

826 would absolutely have to be reimagined to accommodate, but it could be done. Billion dollar project.
Sounds like a good idea.

Public spends $1B on road improvements plus UM/Public spends $500M on ****** small stadium moving it further away from 60% of the season ticket holders and donors who live in Broward and Palm Beach vs playing in a world class stadium that is central and easily accessible.

That looks like the Miami vs UFag game from three years ago .... things change in three years. The Turnover Chain is tired.

Oh trust me; but just saying it’s a distraction and then being caught holding it w/ so much pride….life comes at u fast. Lol

Tropical park location is worse because at least at Merril Reese golf course location, you have 836 connection with Death 95 & 826 (Palmetto), turnpike further west and the airport express way. All very congested highways/roads on any day. It’s a congestion issue that is volume related.

Tropical Park for me personally is an easier drive (15 minutes) vs Hard Rock but I can get to Hard Rock in 30-40 minutes with few if any traffic issues. Just me personally.

Yes, but Hard Rock keeps shooting itself in the foot, by using all the parking for (a) Dolphins training facility, (b) tennis center, (c) Formula 1 road course.

At some point, we might have to THINK about the possibility of partnering with someone/somehow to build something. There are two good spots along NW 7th Street.

We are literally not even the "second tenant" at the stadium any longer. A ONE-TIME EVENT (F1 race) took precedence over everything else this year. I mean, if you had an apartment, and then your landlord gave away the parking and the swimming pool, and the laundry room, at some point you'd probably try to find a new place.

I cannot think of a single other pro venue (stadium or arena) that has done something like this as aggressively as Hard Rock has.

On point. The fact that they moved the green lot across the street was criminal IMO. I'd like to see us investigate another option specifically for that reason. Hard rock's ownership has ruined the gameday experience.

I don't get the rate for Marcus. Sure he promotes himself but he cares about football more than most of our other boosters and gives to the program more than most of our former players. Boosters speak as a group, you wouldn't want one booster running their mouth to the media.
He appears to be messaging for at least a faction...

That’s a private for-profit enterprise, I’m sure they’ll recoup their investment
Yeah - F1 is big money. I love F1. They will get the Thursday through Saturday crowds for the practices, qualifying and Formula 2 races and then the final race on Sunday. Talking about at least 400k people on a weekend.

10 year contract as well. Big time money.

Yeah, we should cater to those 60% who have left the stadium empty for the past 10 years besides one game. Even better idea. Bottom line is this: if you’ve been to Hard Rock in the past two years, you’ll know our stadium situation is broken. It needs to be repaired one way or the other. Bring the Canes back home.

I can agree that the tennis courts & football facility have taken a ton of the parking space.

The race track not so much. It’s just a road. Not talking about a NASCAR track.

Currently, Inter Miami plays in Lauderdale. The Mas Brothers are planning to build a soccer stadium at the site of the public Melreese golf course, across LeJeune from MIA. I posted screenshots and site plans on another thread, and you can also find the pix and plans on the Inter Miami website.

LOL. Is this b/c of your hissy-fit over your parking pass being moved to a different location b/c of stadium construction?

It literally poured 90% of the last game and the majority of fans didn't get wet whatsoever b/c of the ridiculously awesome roof at the multi-billion stadium that is one of only about 10 approved locations to host a Super Bowl but the idiots in here want to move to a 45k erector set stadium like FAU or UCF in the heart of Miami-Dade suburbs creating traffic ****. Just wow.

I honestly thought Lemonis was a huge p*ssy so this is weird coming from him.
Marcus is all about them three P’s. People, Process and product. All three need to be fixed at Miami. He is not a pu**y just doesn’t put crap on social media. I remember him offering a million bucks for a UM stadium lol.

What if we never left the Orange Bowl?
