This is where we find out how good a coach Manny is. If he's the real deal which I think he is we'll see improvements as he adapts.you think they won't improve until 2022, i think we'll see a different product by mid season, jmo

This quote actually scares the **** out of me. Ensure yourself the best possible line now, not in 2022.
We haven’t even had one recruiting season with this staff. You think we can make a trade or something? Jesus H.This quote actually scares the **** out of me. Ensure yourself the best possible line now, not in 2022.
They may improve slightly, but they won't get bigger, stronger, or faster this year.
That is how you end up with a perpetually terrible OL. Diaz's rationale is sound. Collective starts/snaps is the most important thing you can do to develop your line.
Phil Steele has a stat about this in every issue. It correlates to success.. eventually.
How about moving Jarren outside the pocket? Using the Tight Ends to help the Tackles? Chip blocking with the RBs or Realus?
No but it in college it counts against their rushing totals.Does a sack go against the QB's completion percentage?
The Oline issue can't be fixed.... I feel you can't get bigger/stronger during the season. So if this is the best we have so be it. We can however call better plays, teach the QB to get rid of the ball, and call different formations to give the tackles help. It is now up to Enos.

There is more to "fixing" the oline than getting bigger and stronger. Their biggest problems were timing at the snap, communication with the other linemen, etc. That can be fixed....and given how young and inexperienced that line is, there is a lot of opportunity to make it better. With a bye week after such a tough game, they can focus on those issues and should be better for UNC...and then after two practice games against Bethune Cookman and CMU, they should be even better for the bulk of the ACC schedule. Will they be great? Not likely, not this year. Will they be better? I'd be surprised if they weren't.The Oline issue can't be fixed.... I feel you can't get bigger/stronger during the season. Jarren himself also said this right after the game. An honest assessment of all the sacks if you look at the film would tell you that the majority of them were on the Qb. He also will improve.he also said jarren held the ball too long sometimes.
