Manny's Defense

Quick question:

Has a defensive “expert” head coach, who was a former defensive coordinator himself, ever put on a defensive display like the one Manny’s team put on last Saturday and then had success as the head coach of that same team moving forward?

I’ll hang up and listen.
Well ED O is a defensive coach.

His LSU team gave up 530 yards and 38 points to Texas. 541 yards and 41 points to Bama, and 602 yards including over 400 yards rushing to Ole Miss, and won the NC later that season.

Now it’s not as bad as 62 points and over 700 yards, but those were some bad defensive performance for a defense that was pretty loaded with 5 and 4 stars.

in 2013 ALABAMA gave up 628 yards and 42 points to Texas A&M, the most yards allowed in Alabama school history.

Last year in NC game Brent Venables the best DC in the game, gave up 628 yards and 42 Points to LSU.

He also gave up 49 points and 667 yards to FSU in 2012, and then 565 and 51 points to FSU in 2013.

Even the great defensive minds get shredded by these loaded modern offenses from time to time.

Agree, we’re Suntan U again! And until another jankovich and Howard walk through that door that’s exactly what we’re gonna be, Suntan U. Smh
