dIAZ sucked before he got here, while he was here as DC and HC, and still sucks at Ped State. His gimmick D never stopped a good team and this team would have won 1-2 games this year. Sorry Mr diaz but you need to stop getting on these boards to defend your son and his gimmick dEFENSE

Manny had sense to hire Lashlee. Gattis is a Mario hire and we all see how that is working. I agree that Richt left the program in better shape tho

We don't have a loaded roster. Not even close. Like you said, we have a few players that might get drafted or make NFL practice squad. These Manny slurpers are a joke.

However, we do have enough talent on this roster not to lose to MTSU and Duke and get blown out by FSU. We also have enough talent not to go 9 consecutive quarters without a TD. This is my biggest issue with Mario. He's made 0 improvement to this roster. He's actually made it worse.

But that’s dumb cause manny hired Lashlee to manage that whole side of the team. So manny deserves credit for that making that hire! However, the defense was cheeks because he couldn’t recruit a single decent LB.
 
We have a loaded enough roster not to get embarrassed on national TV. To not lose to MTSU.

Mario is a bad bad gameday coach. Butch Davis would run circles around this dude. He NEEDED yo surround himself with X’s and 0’s guys who can gameplan before and adjust during games. He failed miserably.

Our coaching, from top to bottom, is abysmal.
Gattis = complete fail of a hire.
Steele = zero adjustments during games, it is time for him to retire
Feld = every program he is in is riddled with injuries.
Maribal = oline worse than last year
Addae = secondary has somehow regressed over last years bad unit, he also sucks as a recruiter. Why is he here?
Charlie Strong = lbers are still trash.
Ponce = all QB’s have regressed over last year. Passing game coordinator my ***. He’s cashing free checks.

This whole unit is bad.

Still, Manny got more out of these very same player than the new guy is. That's a fact that is undeniable.

Some say, well Lashlee. Manny identified and then hired him. Same as Mario with Gattis. Mario however many years at Oregon scored 40 points less than their new guy has in one frigging season. Where I'm going with this is that I would bet on Manny hiring a competent OC before Mario.

All losses aren't created equal either. We're getting smashed and smashed by teams we have no business losing to. What's the point swing with Duke this year versus last year? MTSU, are you kidding me? FSU, dogfight last year to complete and total ineptitude.

Mario has come in like a Cat5 hurricane and destroyed any players confidence from last season. These same players were playing their butts off last season and this year, they look like they're going through the motions just to find that last second of the game.

Master motivator we were sold. Please, he's all but had the entire team quit. Discipline and fundamentals, nah, not seeing it. Physical, OL (his and mini me's) specialty is truly special this year for all the wrong reasons. Promising backend has all those guys undrafter at this point.

You all are seeing the absolutely worst coached season since we began our rise and excusing it somehow. Meanwhile there's a slew of other coaches out there who took over cesspools fairing better than their predecessors. Look no further than the guy who kicked our butts at Duke.

We doubled our coaching staffs salary and got half the results. What a sad and terrible joke.

Agreed, Manny does deserve credit for the Lashlee hire. Valid point.

My point is that not even Manny could have known how good of a hire that turned out to be. The fact that Lashlee had our offense humming yet we finished 7-5 tells us that there were a lot of issues that didnt get exposed under Manny. LB recruiting is certainly one of them.

You dolts do realize that we had to pay a buyout to get Manny to come here twice, don’t u? Yeah, we paid a buyout in 2016 to MSU after Manny “committed” to coach for them after Mullen gave him a 2nd chance. We then paid another buyout to Temple after Manny “committed” to coach there. Did u not see the financial report that was posted on here w/ the itemized listings? We paid $9m for Manny’s 6-7 season in 2019, alone.

You forget that we paid Enos $1m to come from Bama, too, right? You also realize that it was Manny that decided to surround himself w/ yes men from his coaching tree, right? You, too, realize that whatever Manny wanted, Manny got, don’t u?
-Wanted Enos gone after yr 1? Done.
-Wanted to hire Patke? Done.
-Wanted Likens? Done.
-Wanted Rumph gone? Done.
-Wanted T-Rob? Done.

-Results:

1 You do realize as of November 6, 2022 The U is still the first & only P5 team to lose to FIU, correct?

2. You do realize that 2019 Miami Hurricanes were the 1st Canes team since 1979 (Howard’s 1st yr) to lose to multiple G5 teams in a single season, correct?

3. You do realize that the 2020 Hurricanes re-wrote the NCAA, ACC, & Miami Hurricanes history books multiple times over in a single game, don’t you?

4. You do realize that the 2021 Hurricanes defensive statistics bottomed out from both 2019 & 2020 seasons AFTER Diaz resumed becoming a DC, right?

-Improvements:

You do realize that Diaz took over a 7-6 team & went 6-7 yr 1, right?

Well, let’s call that an “anomaly”, since he took that same 6-7 team & turned them into an 8-3 team, yr 2…but, unfortunately, I can say yr 1 was an anomaly, when he took that 8-3 team & turned them in to a 7-5 team in yr 3.

Oh, something else; when Richt took over a poorly coached Miami team, that 1st yr they were 107th in penalties. From the 2017, 2018, they went from 107th to 41st & 48th, respectively, over the next two yrs. Well, wouldn’t u know as soon as Diaz became coach, the team went:

2019: 105th
2020: 112th
2021: 108th

Guess what we’re struggling w/ right now? Discipline as we’re currently 90th.


One of my biggest issues in revisionist history are incomplete details to bring bias confirmation. Mario has struggled mightily here, particularly on O, but let’s not act as if Manny did not do irrevocable damage while here, & that includes him being apart of a huge locker room issue that festered in 2018. He was a weasel & con man, & u still have fans sucking this lil midget’s nob. (sorry for the lack of PC there)

This roster is his doing! All the begging for more talent in 2021 as Kenneth Walker made his highlight film on us? His guys. All that lack of tackling bull chit we’ve been seeing for 4 yrs? His guy’s & techniques.

He’s a hack, & I never have advocated for another poster to be banned, but I think u & all those who think like u need another time out for this stupidity.
