Manny will call Plays in 2021, Jess Back as DL Coach

The fiscal mismanagement is mind boggling. I just showed the 7.5 million that Miami flushed down the toilet. Blake James also gave Richt a totally unnecessary contract extension, when he wasn't going anywhere. He was unbelievably lucky that Richt walked away (I believe he still got paid a negotiated settlement that was worth a few mil). So between 2018 and now, Miami could have had around an extra 10 million or so in the budget but for egregiously bad financial decisions. There is one way to salvage some dignity here- the BOT needs to demand Blake James resignation immediately. Send the message to Diaz that his mickey mouse moves aren't acceptable and his buddy Blake James is going to be held accountable for Diaz's decisions.

lol the BOT put Blake in there. they don't fire him bc hes their puppet. no matter the AD, the results haven't changed here

Disappointed? Yeah sure. Does it makes sense? Yeah kinda.

The King of Football, aka The Devil Nick Saban even said it himself, the game is about offense now. And that's 100% accurate, sorry Dwinstitles we love ya, but hopefully Owinstitles is your alternate.

Yeah it's about O but you still have to field a competent D. Bend don't break is true as much as we hate that term. When the field is tighter it's harder to spread teams out to give the O an advantage, the big play kills you now.

Teams with a pulse are going to score, period. Diaz fielded some pretty dang good defenses, chaos was the reason, creating turnovers. Getting balls on downs is going to happen against lower teams but teams with a pulse are going to store and a lot, that's the game now. So you have to find a way to create those turnovers or shut down the red zone as the field gets tighter to give your O the edge to spring momentum.

So if we have a competent O leader, Diaz being on the D makes perfect sense, it's where is he good at. Now can Lash get it done ?

Manny absolutely did not call the defense last year. He is MUCH more involved with the defense as opposed to the offense, 100%. But on gameday, it's Baker's show. Well, was Baker's show. So you can be ****ed about the decision, but what you watched last season was not Manny Diaz calling plays. You watched Blake Baker running a defense that Manny Diaz taught him and he's molded after Manny left. What you'll see next year is "Manny's defense", for better or for worse.
There no way Manny sat and watched UNC run down our throat w/o getting involved in the play calling. Mack Brown knew Manny hadn't chisanged his stripes and we saw the results.

hes gonna get four years unless hes go 2-10. people just need to let it play out. there aren't elite coaches beating down our door to come here as much as people would like to think. **** get a class to win and if he doesn't hes gone and deservedly so. if he doesn't win 10+, hes done imo. he was never getting fired after this year.
For the first time in years we finished a schedule and won all the games we should have. Of course we got **** on by Clemson but everyone with a brain knows we aren’t at that level yet. The true stinger is the putrid display against UNC. Also if we catch like 3 extra passes in the bowl game we have our first bowl win since 2016... that’s not on Diaz... people just can’t use critical thinking skills

I hope y'all know TRob already knew of Manny's plan before he got officially hired... And he still took the job so y'all can stop crying about him leaving next yr as if he got blindsided by this news.

Knew he was an arrogant *****...we can’t find a better dc than Blake baker or manny Diaz ? Ok
I know you're a moron, but as a DC and taking in his results, there aren't much better DCs than Manny. are there better DCs than baker? absolutely. there aren't that many available DCs better than Manny tho.
