Manny will be calling the defense moving forward!!!

He never said that. Go work for CNN or MSNBC. "More involved" yes. He also said the problem is not the defensive play calling it's the void and breakdown between the called play and execution. Said he must figure that out. Said they called the same defensive plays that worked in the past are not being properly executed.
Speaking on the TE running wild on last drive. He said we had someone designated to cover him, again not properly executed.
He will personally be holding players accountable, instead of waiting on them to do it themselves.
Also said it's not just young guys, it guys that have been here and have properly executed in past.

Good. This a defining moment in Manny's head coaching career. Does he have the leadership and ability to make the difficult decisions? He wants to be a CEO type, but right now he needs to just be a winning the ******* game type.

THIS is the defining moment? After the season is already lost, and the team has nothing more to play for? NOW he decides to make difficult decisions?

It's too **** late for Manny to prove himself. He's already proven that he's garbage.

Lol won't change anything, it's the same aggressive bend don't break defense. Like I said before we have been saved by great safety play. Tired of the stat slurpers the defense has always folded when we truly need them.

Gotta give manny credit here some say hes garbage but at least he's trying to do something about it.last couple hcs basically shrugged the shoulders and did nothing.Manny is doing what needs to be done.

You don't have to have 5 star players to play disciplined, do you job, and not have stupid penalties. You can lose from not having the horses, but we are losing from having a team full of asses. You either coach them to above their ability or below. We are way below our talent level.

We also lost the turnover battle 5-0. That doesn't excuse the last drive, but it adds some perspective. There weren't driving the length of the field all game.

I think the coaches suck and 70% of the players aren't much better. Both lines blow, average LBers, Average DB's Average QB's, average RB's, Jordan is our best player and he comes from Vegas that's sad. The ACC sucks and we're at the bottom of the barrel. Where is all the Sf talent on this team? We're not getting any better until we recruit better. To do that we need top of the line coaches GL getting them here. Starting to watch pro again at least I can watch NE kick ***. Watching Miami play gets me all screwed up for a couple days getting to old for that. lol

Great players rise to the top so far we have one.

I don't know how involved hes going to be but it shows he knows he has to stop the bleeding or this thing is going to come off the rails WAY too soon into his tenure. To answer some posts I saw in this thread..

*Manny wasn't an elite DC but he was **** good and if we had "his" defense we would be 4-1 right now. Anyone who says otherwise is just complaining for the sake of complaining at this point. I don't care what his defense did against LSU, Wisconsin, etc. Those teams aren't on our **** schedule so its a moot argument. His defenses would have been good enough to keep a UNC offense and VT offense at bay this season. Period.

*If Manny doesn't at least end the season 7-5 or better..his job will be on the line next season. If he ends the season with a losing record (5-7)..make no mistake, he will be fired or asked to resign because he will be bullied into making changes that he won't want to make. (Firing everyone basically) Blake isn't going to go down with the ship even though he should be fired too.

*When you are 2-3 its everyones fault. Coaches, players, water boy, everyone. So I don't have a problem with him throwing some blame the players way in his interview. He definitely made sure to throw a lot of blame on his coaches. Which was the right thing to do. I don't ever remember Golden blaming his coaches for anything EVER. So lets stop with the Golden comparisons.

*We might not have a blue chip roster like Bama (68 four and five star players out of 82 is something out of a **** video game) but we **** sure have good enough players to go 9-3/10-2. I am not down on our overall talent. Just certain players.

How is this not his defense? Its his scheme. He hired the DC. He is the head coach. He owns every part of this.

He must realize this ship is sinking fast...If hes smart he controls what he can which is the defense and hope enos can put up points like we did this week more often

Wouldnt surprise me jf we see big changes this offseason on both ends of the staff

Make Enos stick with shotgun.

Fix the player rotation and simplify the calls.

Start N’Kosi.

We may get hot, score inspire of online blunders, and force more field goals on d.

Just might be able to make a career saving run.

As bad as we have looked, we have lost close games. Get the best players on the field and improve play calling, anything can happen.

Blake is out of his league! I called this long ago and the way he rotates players during games is a*** backwards. This cat is getting worked by season vets! LB, S, Position coaches need to be let go of their duties as well.
Baker is the LB coach also

We just observed a former film room editor stating the defense of the University of Miami's defense will be more aware....

How astute......

Bullsh*t. Manny needs a savage at DC, not his Buddy from his previous gig.

Butch had no problem firing for non-performance. At this rate, bringing No D back would be an improvement.

Sorry Manny, no sale.

Manny need to release Baker and promote bands and hire Miami Legacy coaches/recruiters and a Freaking special teams coach
