I don't know how involved hes going to be but it shows he knows he has to stop the bleeding or this thing is going to come off the rails WAY too soon into his tenure. To answer some posts I saw in this thread..
*Manny wasn't an elite DC but he was **** good and if we had "his" defense we would be 4-1 right now. Anyone who says otherwise is just complaining for the sake of complaining at this point. I don't care what his defense did against LSU, Wisconsin, etc. Those teams aren't on our **** schedule so its a moot argument. His defenses would have been good enough to keep a UNC offense and VT offense at bay this season. Period.
*If Manny doesn't at least end the season 7-5 or better..his job will be on the line next season. If he ends the season with a losing record (5-7)..make no mistake, he will be fired or asked to resign because he will be bullied into making changes that he won't want to make. (Firing everyone basically) Blake isn't going to go down with the ship even though he should be fired too.
*When you are 2-3 its everyones fault. Coaches, players, water boy, everyone. So I don't have a problem with him throwing some blame the players way in his interview. He definitely made sure to throw a lot of blame on his coaches. Which was the right thing to do. I don't ever remember Golden blaming his coaches for anything EVER. So lets stop with the Golden comparisons.
*We might not have a blue chip roster like Bama (68 four and five star players out of 82 is something out of a **** video game) but we **** sure have good enough players to go 9-3/10-2. I am not down on our overall talent. Just certain players.
