Manny will be calling the defense moving forward!!!

I don't know how involved hes going to be but it shows he knows he has to stop the bleeding or this thing is going to come off the rails WAY too soon into his tenure. To answer some posts I saw in this thread..

*Manny wasn't an elite DC but he was **** good and if we had "his" defense we would be 4-1 right now. Anyone who says otherwise is just complaining for the sake of complaining at this point. I don't care what his defense did against LSU, Wisconsin, etc. Those teams aren't on our **** schedule so its a moot argument. His defenses would have been good enough to keep a UNC offense and VT offense at bay this season. Period.

*If Manny doesn't at least end the season 7-5 or better..his job will be on the line next season. If he ends the season with a losing record (5-7)..make no mistake, he will be fired or asked to resign because he will be bullied into making changes that he won't want to make. (Firing everyone basically) Blake isn't going to go down with the ship even though he should be fired too.

*When you are 2-3 its everyones fault. Coaches, players, water boy, everyone. So I don't have a problem with him throwing some blame the players way in his interview. He definitely made sure to throw a lot of blame on his coaches. Which was the right thing to do. I don't ever remember Golden blaming his coaches for anything EVER. So lets stop with the Golden comparisons.

*We might not have a blue chip roster like Bama (68 four and five star players out of 82 is something out of a **** video game) but we **** sure have good enough players to go 9-3/10-2. I am not down on our overall talent. Just certain players.

If this was manny defense Miami is 5-0 right now.
We won’t give up long pass plays to uf and unc or let va tech go 6 for 6 with all tds vs va tech or see a decline like we have in sacks/tfls and pressures.

This is an adjustment that should have been made halfway thru game 2.

manny just needs togo at this point

You cant give up on a Defense 2 games into the season of a first regime. Also, the defense adjusted half way through Game 2...they gave up 3 points between the 2nd/3rd quarter.

I agree. Only reason why I still coughed that UF game for a loss was because after Romeo intercepted that pass that gave the offense a chance to win, Enos and his bum a$$ still couldn't punch it in.

But if you are speaking of the overall game, I wouldn't bet against that Manny would be 5-0 with his defense.

Manny's calling defense!!! We back?

We "back" when we get back to reloading.

Losing J-Johnson, Redwine, M-Jackson in secondary—as well as Willis, Odenigbo and J-Jackson on d-line; those losses are proving huge.

Bandy was a baller the past two years when he had those upperclassmen leaders out there with him—but is a hot mess with Hall, Blades, Ivey, Carter, etc. as there's a huge talent drop-off.

Padded stats from a ****** conference. Don’t hang your hat on that. Remember Wisconsin?

Yes. Miami quit the game before they started. No excuse, but the team didn't even show up. The result would be different if the team came to play.

Like, 31-10 Wisconsin.

So we hired a coach that the same team quit on the game before he was hired? Excellent. I am sure you will argue they quit on MR, but the defense also quit on Manny then too.

Did anyone ever think the “TNM” was in fact what he have... TNM= worse than the old Miami- hence the new Miami. We all just thought it meant better than before but Maybe new meant got damm we are actually going to be worse than before.

Like I said, 31-10 Wisconsin had Miami even bothered.

lol he never said he’s calling plays. “More involved” = advising on general gameplan.

yes I heard him say the same “more involved” my question is, if he hasn’t been advising offensively and defensively, wtf has he been doing?

Who cares what their record was. They suck. They beat a bad SC team.

If you see problems early on you fix them.

Lol. Yeah? Go ahead and show me where Dabo Swinney, Nick Saban, Lincoln Riley, Urban Meyer, or any other highly respected Head coach fired their coordinator after coaching 1 1/2 games. ****, show me ANY Head coach that dropped a staff member for performance reasons after 1 1/2 games.

I didnt ever say fire did i?

We give up 42 to a horrible team it's not just the coaching staff that sucks, we don't enough very good players. Case in point, the 2001 was loaded with great players with Coker and still won big. Unless you hire a big name coach now that can recruit we probably won't ever have a top 10 team again. We're missing on most of the best SF talent.
You don't have to have 5 star players to play disciplined, do you job, and not have stupid penalties. You can lose from not having the horses, but we are losing from having a team full of asses. You either coach them to above their ability or below. We are way below our talent level.
